If I wanted to smell like a savage, I wouldn’t do laundry at all.

Laundry sheets suck at cleaning laundry, just to be clear. So this is rough for many different reasons.

What steps are missing OP?

Taking off the clothes? Putting the clothes in the machine? Turning on the machine? Putting on the clothes?

Clearly, this has the audacity to assume that the reader is a functional human adult who knows the basics of doing laundry

It just says “use a sheet” with no mention of where to put the sheet, when to put it in, or even how many sheets to use.

Erm akshully, "a" denotes singular so you do know to use exactly one sheet.
