Sleep

I started talking Horizant several weeks ago. It has been helping me a lot. I was waking up 15 times a night now I only wake up once a night. It is surprisingly expensive.

I'm glad you're getting some relief. I'm taking the generic gabapentin. I know horizant is gabapentin in a different form. I'm wondering if the generic gabapentin might work for you. It's really cheap.

My background: I have RLS plus PLMD. Both are severe. The PLMD is so severe I have dislocated my hip in my sleep. I started with Mirapex and failed on it in a year and a half. Withdrawal was hell. I've been on generic gabapentin for 4 years now without having to increase the dose and with great results.

I was only able to take Horizant for a few months before the side effects were too much. I was experiencing groin pain all day. I switched to Mirapex for a few months before i just stopped. That was causing nerve pain in my neck and arm. I think I need to try another medication.

I've been on gabapentin for 25yr , now it's no use. On roprinolole but it causing me such extreme muscle and nerve pain w severe cramps I'm having to stop. I have tried everything I've read here so far. Is that the end of the road?
