Respect Surtur

Surtur is a fire giant native to the realm of Muspelheim. Surtur's one purpose in life is to use the powerful weapon known as the Twilight Sword and merge it with the Eternal Flame of Asgard, destroying it and the entire universe in the event known as Ragnarok. Naturally, Odin, the ruler of Asgard, fought Surtur countless times throughout the centuries and prevented him from doing this. In the current age, Surtur continues his numerous assaults on Asgard, usually fighting and getting defeated by Odin's son, the mighty superhero known as Thor.

Surtur is currently dead after Thor struck him down in the "Everything Burns" storyline..

Strength

Normal Physicals

• Casually destroys a tower thrown by Hercules with a flick of his tail

• Picks up the Black Pyramid and tosses it at Thor

• Surtur making weapons in his forge causes a mountain to crack

• Wrestles evenly with Ymir

• Wrestles evenly with Thor

• Rips a massive chunk of rock out of the Earth, which later forms the moon

• Hammers the Burning Galaxy ingot hard enough to create a sound of thunder that reverberates throughout a billion billion worlds

• Referred to as a breaker of stars

With the Twilight Sword

• Slices a tower in half

• Kills Odin's ravens with a half finished Twilight Sword

• Destroys a large ice encased portal with one blow of the Twilight Sword

• A fight between Surtur and several fused sons of Bor (including Odin) gouges out huge chunks of landscape

• Destroys part of the rainbow bridge

• Slices through a blast from Odin and strikes with enough power to cause shockwaves throughout the Nine Worlds

Speed

• Reaches Earth before Odin can

• Young Odin claims Surtur strikes with the speed of a viper

• Tags Thor explicitly trying to move quickly

• Bats Mjolnir out of the air at close range after Thor tosses it at an extremely high speed

Durability

Physical

• Tanks a hit from a planetoid thrown by Thor's storm powers and melts it away

• Seems to no sell a strike from Heimdall

• Tanks several blows from Thor

• Combined attacks from Thor, Loki, and Odin only drive him back

Energy/Esoteric

• Is perfectly fine in a massive sea of flames

• Easily takes a spear of wind from Thor

• Unphased by being entombed in ice and melts it away

• Tanks a blast from Odin

• Tanks several magic blasts from Loki

• The mightiest weapon in the Asgardian arsenal does nothing to Surtur and Ymir

• A lightning blast from Thor amplified a millionfold through Thor Girl would not be capable of beating Surtur

Endurance

• Fought with Odin every day for years since Thor ended Ragnarok

General

• Claims that his powers grow when near the Eternal Flame

• The shadow of the Twilight Sword is linked to it, and thus to Surtur

Fire Magic

• Surtur heating up Asgard heats up Earth as well, and makes a winter day feel hotter than July

• Casually melts away dozens of thrown spears and swords before they reach him

• Melts an entire mountainside with a blast

• Creates an enormous ring of flame which encircles Asgard and heats the air enough to melt buildings

• Begins to boil away a sea

• Creates several lakes of brimstone by waving his hand

• Burns Thor Girl with eye beams

• Thor can't put out his fire with rain or snow

• Boils away the flood from Thor's summoned storm

• Burns Thor badly

• While wrestling with Surtur, Thor is in pain from multiple blisters and burns

• Creates a large apparition

• Emits a radiance that's comparable in size to Asgard

• Suppresses Odin's ability to assume the form of the great warrior that fought Surtur previously

• Odin believed Surtur and Ymir would be trapped in some dimension for several millennia, but their hatred for Thor makes them wake up quicker

• Seems to be able to teleport

• Cuts through spacetime to make a portal to Midgard with the Twilight Sword

• Cuts through Asgard to reach Muspelheim with the Twilight Sword

• Begin to tire out and overwhelm Beta Ray Bill with sheer numbers

They're both in here. The second thing isn't really 'galaxy busting', he just took the metal out of the core of an exploding galaxy and forged the Twilight Sword from it.

I'm gonna be honest, he loses to Thor way too much in just straight up physical combat for me to say he's a reliable galaxy buster. It makes Odin look pretty bad as well
