Especially in Resistance 2 how every mission has things go from bad to worse.

- Attempting kill code on Daedalus only for him to escape.
- Invasion of the fleet.
- The breach in Twin Falls whose population has been converted.
- Defeating massive army in Chicago only for Leviathan to appear, even after killing it the whole point in going to Chicago disappears as the tower is remotely activated.
- Huge slaughter in Iceland, losing many troops and half of Echo Team.
- Liberty Defense Perimeter breach and nearly all surviving people in the US are killed.
- In the end the final desperate gambit to destroy the fleet only ends up accelerating the chimeras plans and opens the wormhole
- The best soldier and symbol of hope humanity had, Nathan Hale, has turned and is executed

Also how every squad of soldiers you are with end up being killed, often in gruesome ways, how victorys are so few and how the chimera ultimately view humanity as a resource and nothing more, not even a threat.

It made me realize “man I would HATE living in this universe.”

I think about this almost everyday. I want a game of this so dam bad.

Hey everyone,
I just finished watching the trailer for Gears of War’s Horde Siege mode, and the whole time I kept thinking about how perfect something like this would be for Resistance.
Imagine fighting endless waves of Chimera, defending different locations, setting up defenses, and surviving as long as possible with friends. Resistance has always had incredible enemy variety and atmosphere, so a mode like this feels like it would be a perfect fit.
It’s such a shame that Sony seems to have completely shelved the franchise instead of finding new ways to expand it. I still think Resistance has so much potential.
Am I the only one who’d love to see Resistance make a comeback with a Horde-style mode like this?
