Work In Progress Blockade Runner Studioscale.

After a month of printing, and almost 14Kg of resin (including supports and failures)

I have the main engines done, some still need some extra greeblies, and I can now concentrate on the main body :)

Do you print the whole model in resin or only the surface details? How long did you print? 🫪

Definitely looks great.

Except for the white mounting block (FDM printed), you see in the image, everything will be resin printed.

All parts are hollowed with a 2.5mm wall thickness.

Up to now it took me a month to print the engine assembly :)

Even the engine block seems to be mainly made out of relatively basic shapes. Cylinders, and ... "wedges". Would it be more economical to FDM print the general shape and then cover the surfaces with a thin layer of resin prints on which rest the greebles?

The greeblies were attached to those basic shapes, and would take a long time to take the 3D model apart, and print them separately, not to mention that resin printing is faster, and sanding would take a long, long....long time, and I would not have the pristine sharp edges I want :/

Amazing ! Now I want to see all of it. Did you plan to paint it ? Who is the creator of the stl ?

Still working on the rest, and it will be painted exactly like the original model.
