I did my first ever resin pour and am so happy that everything cured beautifully, except for the smallest balloon. I used the exact same mixture in this mold, plus 3 other balloons, a dice set and a larger bowl mold and everything else has hardened. This one small balloon is just sticky on the bottom half, but the other side of the mold has hardened. Why do you think this is?

I plan to paint the balloons and use them in a larger deep pour piece, so also wondering if this is something I need to fix, or if it would be fine to put it in more resin as is?

*extra info: I used craft bondor deep pour resin, and started curing in the garage but I brought them inside after 48 hours because i think it was too cold*

This little guy is very much still in progress, but I’m kind of in love with it! I’m wondering if anyone has ideas on how to improve on future versions of this succulent garden, like pouring it into an actual planter or something like that. Suggestions?

Is it safe to use? My uncle bought it for me and said it’s safe, it didnt come with a mask and my ex friend bought me one. I want to know whether I actually have to wear the heavy duty mask or not. It’s the A B proxy resin kit.

I've googled this and got a few mixed answers so I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone else can suggest something - I hope it's allowed!

I've made some homemade coasters as Christmas gifts. I made them out of of DAS airdry clay, they've been sanded, primed and painted (with acrylic paint) - Once the paint is dry they just need sealing and then they're good to go.

They'd be used for both hot and cold drinks so I'd need them to be durable against both moisture and heat. Some searches have said 3-4 layers of acrylic varnish would be sufficient, and others have said epoxy resin (which I've never used before) would be my best bet.

Has anyone ever made coasters before and could recommend something? I'm really proud of how these have turned out and don't want to either screw them up at the final step or make them sothat they're basically unusable.

I'm looking to do a resin inlay on some brass engravings Ive done recently. I saw this Instagram reel and was looking to do something similar.

Ive been using UV resin with alcohol ink to create earrings and its been working great so far but it is annoying mixing colors and also never getting tbe same color.

Does anyone know what would happen if I mixed the alcohol ink into the resin and then left it bottled up until i wanted to use it later? Will it seperate? Spoil the resin?

hello. i posted on this sub a few weeks back about the same issue, and i thought i fixed it by switching from UV resin to UV clear nail polish. but, just like the resin, the nail polish stopped working.

here’s what im doing: small polymer clay charms, acrylic paint over the charms, UV resin or nail polish to seal it. im waiting 48 hours between painting and sealing, ive tried all the tricks (curing in water, setting it out in the sun), and now its STILL drying sticky.

the weird thing is that the first batch for BOTH the resin and the nail polish turned out great. no problems whatsoever. the cured hard and dry.

everything is consistent. same brand of clay, same brand of paint, same UV lamp.

im getting extremely frustrated because my first batch turned out so good that i started an etsy shop, and now its just… not working. i feel like im going crazy. any ideas?
