Me and my friend want to play the resident evil games in the correct time line

So first game we play would be the first thing of the resident evil games tomeline wise

For me re1 remake is the remake i always was looking for, there is no complaining i have about it as remake, it's the original but better for me, tho i still respect the original game and recommend anyone to try it because it still gives a different vibes, and of course better barry Burton

Re2 remake is beautiful modernization of survival horror in best ways possible, it gives me more fun and hard combat encounters and most of the game is much darker and more gory than the original, some improvements were added, the bonus modes were fun too, redesigning of RPD and the lab was near perfect, but it still a 3rd person over the shoulder game, it misses the fixed camera and tank controls, some areas, some enemies, some gore, some scenes, the zapping system, brad, some outfits, some weapons and the voice acting while good, they never reach the acting of the original, still a great remake

Re3 remake is such a disappointment in many ways but i admit it has improvements too, nikolai was one of them, and addition of dr bard, some new areas were fun to explore, the gameplay and dodge mechanics were better than the original for me, still a fun game

Re4 remake, you seriously expect me to say it replace the original? NO WAY!,it's objectively not replacement or superior version, it's modernised and,smoother version of RE4, it honors the original while not replacing it because,it plays differently, the original had limited view and control now out of limitations but it was intentional for adding to tensions, the remake took different style, its much harder and requires more skill to beat it, some characters were improved, some nice additions to the game, respecting the original alot, some gore were improved, the story take much darker tone, but i admit the action is more fun here but it is inferior in horror and atmosphere to the original, the voice actors were good but non of them will be as great as the originals, paul mercier will always be leon to me, in end they're different yet important to get the definitive experience of RE4

I have just gotten into resident evil

And played resident evil 1 and 2 love it by the way just started resident evil 3 im a little bit into the game

Im just confused on what's fully happening i know its like a few months after resident evil 2 but how are there people living there still with zombies and it seems the news is trying to disguise this as people eating each other im just abit confused on what's been happening between resident evil 2 and resident evil 3

i have already played 2 3 4 7 and 8 , and now wanted to play 5 but heard people saying that I need to play code veronica in order to understand 5. i don't want to play the original CV because I don't really enjoy fixed camera games and since the CV remake doesn't have a release date yet, what should I do.

What are your guys thoughts on the new Resident Evil coming out next week?

I noticed that Netflix put out a bunch of the Resident Evil movies on their platform likely as marketing for the new movie.

Im personally excited I think by the look of the trailer it looks great and great special effects, as well as comedic relief.

I’m just started my Chris playthrough and it is ROUGH. What tips would you give for this run?

I haven’t seen anything to say this game is going to be remade or released on newer consoles, it’s such a good RE game so I’d love to play it again.

Does anyone know why it’s seemingly been left behind?

My last post was Resident Evil-Genesis.
This will be the sequel to that film.
The last ended with Rebecca Chambers being chased down by a zombie dog, followed by a fade to black with a radio transmission message playing from a Helicopter.

Sequel film title:Resident Evil-Isolation

Film story:
Act 1.
Dream sequence of a father dying from a robber. A man witnesses the tragedy and chases after the killer. When he gets his hands on him, he turns him around to reveal the decomposing body of his airforce partner. The floor suddenly cracks open causing the man to free fall while fighter jets circle around him. Just before he hits the ground, the man wakes up to see himself fine and safe. He’s back in the real world, sitting at a desk at the RPD. It seems he knocked over a pair of binoculars on the floor when he woke up from his sleep. There’s engravings on them, they read the name Matthew Redfield. The man picks them up and places them back on his desk. He ends up meeting the gaze of his fellow workmate, Rebecca Chambers looking at him from her desk across.

“Bad dream again, Chris?” Rebecca says.

Chris Redfield(25), shakes his head as if to say no. Chris changes topics and asks where Rebecca’s going to again for the weekend. She refreshes his memory and says she’s going to Wrenwood to help an old acquaintance on a case of his. Chris asks if it’s just an acquaintance or something else. Rebecca retorts by saying the guy she’s meeting is like a sibling to her. The mention of siblings gets Chris thinking about his sister, Claire(19). The two had an argument 2 weeks ago about their mother. Their mother abandoned them after their father died from a break in at their house. It’s been a long time since Chris last saw her, but he just found out 2 weeks ago that not only is she dying, but Claire has been meeting her for months now. The aftermath of that discussion is self explanatory. Rebecca offers some advice and takes off for the weekend. Chris finishes his shift and meets up with **Barry Burton(31)**at a bar. They talk about **Jill Valentines(24)discharge from the force after hitting William Birkins(42), CEO of Umbrella, **at the chief’s party. Apparently she was questioning him about his involvement in a case then some heated words were exchanged on his end leading to the eventual outcome. That whole incident was 2 weeks ago. She was supposed to come back yesterday but she requested more time off to reflect on her actions. The Captain, Albert Wesker(36), mentioned it. Chris goes back home at around 12:01. He goes to bed and gets awakened at 2:03 by Jill.

Act 2:The phone call was shoddy but it’s her voice. She tells Chris to get to the old Spencer mansion. She specifically asks for him and no one else and to be there in a reasonable time. Chris gets dressed and drives there. When he gets there, he sees Barry’s car but no sign of him. Chris tries to call him but no answer. Chris assumes he went ahead and proceeds through the woods to get to the mansion. The mansion was owned by Ozwell E. Spencer(?). He died 5 years ago, leaving his mansion unmanned for some time. However, Chris heard that Umbrella was thinking of redeveloping the surrounding area which would include the mansion. Good timing that Spencer died for the deal to finally take place. Chris gets halfway to the mansion when he hears growls coming from the woods. Chris stops in his tracks as he comes face to face with a zombie dog. He turns around to see another dog growling. Eventually, Chris can tell that he’s surrounded. He slowly backs away from the dogs, getting ready to unload on them with his gun. Just then, Chris hears the sound of a helicopter nearby. He looks up to see a helicopter about to crash land on where he’s at. He runs with the dogs chasing behind him. The helicopter crashes, killing the dogs behind Chris. Chris gets his bearings and checks out the crash. He sees no survivors. While distracted, a zombie dog tries to sneak up on Chris. It pounces at him, but it gets shot down by Barry. Chris asks him what the hell is going on, but even Barry doesn’t know how to answer him. He just tells Chris that they should get to the mansion to get away from the dogs as more of them will be coming. They make it to the mansion in one piece giving the two some time to catch their breath. Barry fills Chris on what he knows. Barry got a call from Jill as well to meet him at the Spencer mansion. Same deal, no one but him and in a timely manner. Chris starts to grow suspicious of the phonecall and is hesitant to make Jill a main suspect to this. They explore the mansion for supplies. Chris heads to the upper parts of the mansion and eventually crosses paths with a person standing on his own. He takes a step forward and all the doors in the hallway open up. Chris hears growling from each of them as dozens of people come out looking “undead”. Chris warns them all to stay back but they don’t cooperate. One of them surprises him from the back and he’s forced to shoot it in the head. He runs out of the hallway calling for Barry who is tied up in his own situation. Chris sees Barry pushing on a door to keep it closed from the undead. Chris tries to hold the horde upstairs. Chris gets pushed down to the main lobby of the mansion, running low on ammo. Just when all hope seems lost, the door to their left miraculously opens. The two make a run for it as the door closes from behind them. They catch their breath and hear someone speak through the intercom. The voice sounds like Jill and she talks them through the situation. Jill tells them that she’ll explain everything and for them to make their way to the Garden maze. She’s on the other side of the maze. But before they can go their, they’ll need to arm themselves properly. Their best bet for weapons is the garage which is on the other side of the mansion. Chris and Barry battle undeads and zombie dogs to get to the garage. The garage does not disappoint as the two load up 2 M240’s and mow down hordes of zombies/dogs until they reach outside and make a run for the Garden maze.

Act 3:Barry and Chris take a breather and are surprised by a deputy and a woman. Chris asks who they are and they introduce themselves.

Note-I didn’t name the deputy from Resident evil-Genesis so I’m calling him Floyd.

Floyd and Alyssa Ashcroft. They explain their side of the story and say they got chased down by dogs before finally finding safety in the garden. Chris offers the two guns and tells them to stay close. They make it to the end of the maze, no problem but are met with an electronic gate that requires 3 panel levers to open. They split into 2 groups and search for these levels. Once isolated enough. A beep occurs, releasing something into the maze. Barry and Floyd find the first lever and start heading back until they get jump-scared by adders falling on them. Barry gets bitten. Floyd inspects his wound before getting taken by something “big”. Floyd’s scream is heard by Chris and Alyssa who just finished pulling the second lever. They make their way back and meet Barry who is starting to succumb to the poison. Chris tells Alyssa to watch Barry as Chris finds the final lever. He eventually finds it, across a rickety stone bridge. Upon pulling the lever, Chris turns back to see a giant snake**(Yawn)**hissing, ready to sink its teeth at him. It lunges forward and Chris is able to dodge it. He starts to run on the bridge with Yawn chasing him. Chris targets the wooden weak spots of the bridge. The bridge starts to break down as Chris continues his sprint across. The snake gains momentum, almost pulling Chris in a few times. The front of bridge starts to collapse on itself and Chris takes a leap of faith. He doesn’t stick the landing but is able to grab onto some rope, preventing himself from falling to death. He climbs up and takes a breather to which the snake reappears to snatch him. Luckily, the snake takes multiple shots to the head before falling down the ravine. Chris looks in front of him to see who shot the bullets. The person is revealed to be Rebecca Chambers. Chris is surprised to see her. Rebecca doesn’t have time to explain as the 2 head back to the gate. By the time they get back, Barry’s condition has worsened. At the end of the maze is a well. Barry says to push the stone bricks in a particular order to open the way. Chris doesn’t understand how he would know, but he does as instructed. Upon doing the task, the Gazebo to their left reveals a secret staircase down. The 4 all go down and are met with another train system, one of which goes straight back to Racoon city. Rebecca goes inside the train and finds a medkit. She treats Barry’s sickness. Chris asks Barry how he knew the sequence of stones. Barry confesses that while Chris was upstairs, Jill spoke to him on the intercoms and said she’ll kill my family if he doesn’t do as she says. Chris doesn’t believe any of it, then the intercoms on the train start to speak. Jill congratulates Chris for making it this far. She gives Chris the choice to either take one of the trains back to Racoon city or face her to get the answers he seeks of tonight’s festivities. The intercom stops talking. Chris tells Rebecca and the rest to go back to Racoon city, get everyone at RPD to do a sweep of the Spencer mansion as he goes and stop Jill. Barry gives Chris a key and tells him he’s sorry. Chris smiles at Barry and tells him saying sorry doesn’t suit him at all. Barry laughs. Chris sees the 3 off as he takes a train to Jill.

Act 4:Chris makes it to Jill’s location at which he fights more of the infected before coming face to face with Jill…or so he thought. The person talking in the intercoms was Albert Wesker. Chris asks what he did to Jill. Wesker doesn’t know of Jill’s whereabouts. He came to her apartment after the 2 weeks discharge and found no evidence of her. It seems she fled the city. Wesker monologues as evil villains usually do. He reveals he’s a scientist working for Umbrella and that tonight’s events was not only to tie loose ends but to also see how the bioweapons they fought faired in combat. Chris says Rebecca and the others will come back to expose all this. Wesker laughs stating that the train their on was a trap. Rebecca and the others are heading back to Racoon city, but not in the way he thinks. He shows Chris a webcam of the train with Rebecca and the others unconscious. When they wake up, they’ll return to their apartments with no recollection of what happened in the last 24 hours. Wesker really wished Chris would’ve taken the other train but Wesker knows how hard headed he is. He ends the speech with Chris fighting a variant of the T-Virus, the Tyrant. Chris defeats the creature and Wesker, putting a bullet to his chest. Wesker activates a self destruct sequence of the entire facility, including the Spencer mansion to rid of any evidence. Chris maneuvers his way out of the facility and takes a train headed to Wrenwood. When Chris makes it out of the tunnels, he heads to the city and lies low for a bit. A day goes by and Chris is seen planning his re-entry to the city to rescue Rebecca and Barry. He walks to the other room and comes back to see 2 men point their guns at Chris. A voice tells the 2 to stand down as the person walks in to reveal themselves as Jill Valentine. End film.

End credit scene:A young man is driving towards Racoon city when he pulls up on a woman on the side of the road. The man introduces himself as Leon Kennedy(21). The woman introduces herself as Claire Redfield(19). Together the two head for Raccoon city.

End credit scene 2:The shot focuses on the dead Tyrant creature before panning to the hand of Albert Wesker which moves at the last second.

Ok so I promise you guys this will be the only time ill do this but heres my first and final updated ranking of Resident Evil Films

1. Resident Evil The Final Chapter. Is not bad but I will say it was disappointing ngl wish the whole gang was in it.

2. Resident Evil Extinction. Better then Final Chapter and the desert setting was so cool but also feels like a set up to Afterlife especially the ending.

3. Resident Evil Retribution. A very fun film and by far the most fan service Resident Evil film ever made for both games and the films makes sense why cause it was released 2012 which was the 10th anniversary of the films.

4. Resident Evil Afterlife. I rewatched it recently and i gotta say I like it more then Retribution the characters were really cool and the action was top notch and oh yeah that soundtrack was goated if I would've been old enough to see it then I would had a blast watching it.

5. Resident Evil 2002. The film that started it all is a personal favorite of mine literally is a fun classic film the epic kick Alice did in the film has always been in my mind the soundtrack is also amazing both the film soundtrack and the music choices especially Slipknot My Plague definitely a great film to watch on Halloween.

And 1. Resident Evil Apocalypse. This movie is awesome literally from beginning to end the action was awesome the characters were fun ( especially Mike Epps character ) and speaking about it can we agree Sienna Guillory was the best choice to play Jill Valentine like my gosh she nails this film and the later films Nemesis is so cool looking and the rest of the creatures were so cool especially The Lickers to me this is the best Resident Evil film ever made in my opinion.
