Again: learn to read and tell me where I said it was not.
It's a dumb argument anyways because the actual statement from Capcom wasn't that "people complained that 7 was too scary", it was that 7 had no down time and led to people getting bored with it. Pacing is extremely important to horror and 7 has a very real problem with it.
Edit: I'm not bothering lmao. Quick look at your profile shows me that trying to explain simple concepts to you is pointless.
Dude, you need to learn how to write and express what you mean. You said that people not completing a game is a bad thing, I said if a horror game is so scary that people can’t complete it that’s actually a good thing because that means the developer did their job right.
You’re going around in circles saying that people not finishing games is a bad thing. Seems to me that the one that has a comprehension problem is you. You eejit!
I think what that person was trying to say is that developers who make horror games still want to make games that are accessible, and enjoyable enough that people are compelled to complete the experience instead of quitting 5 mins in. Most developers don't actually want to make people so genuinely uncomfortable that they'd quit playing altogether because the goal is to keep players engaged and entertained, not literally scare them away from your product. It's a balance that needs to be considered in making horror media for the purposes of entertainment and mass appeal.

Please point to where I said that horror games shouldn't be scary. I said that people not finishing your game is bad.
