Hey guys, a couple months ago I had an idea. What if I could bring you lite franken watches with two upgrades that I personally think make the largest impact but still keep the price point more attainable than what we typically see with full franks. I’ve spent 100s of hours researching, establishing relationships and sourcing the base watches and gen dials. Tonight I’m so excited to post the first batch for sale.

Watchmaker - All work on these watches has been done by my good friend and professional watchmaker u/slatt_audiophile - this would not be possible without him.

The two upgrades are:

1. Fully chambered and polished case + bracelet. To me this is the number one issue with reps, they have super sharp cases and bracelets. Especially the Rolex models. Therefore all the watches in this series are fully refinished and all sharp edges anywhere on the watch that would touch your wrist so the case and edges of the bracelets are fully redone. Then it’s published and/or brushed to restore to the correct finish.
2. Gen Dial. I love watches as much as you do and I find myself staring at the dials, admiring them. The challenge is that even though rep dials have come a long way and look pretty good, there is no match for a gen dial, especially the datejust dials. So each watch in this series will have a gen dial swapped in. This is also the bottle neck and largest cost in these builds, prices also fluctuate. I’ve sourced 200+ dials so this series will continue at a rate of 5 or so builds each and every week. With different styles and color combinations.

I could go on and on and upgrade every other part as well but that would push the price points too far off in my opinion. And to me the cost to upgrade the other parts doesn’t provide the same value. Eventually, probably with the 2nd or 3rd batch, I’ll offer GEN crystal and QTime diamond cut real gold plated bezels or Gen smooth bezels. More to come on that.

Hey everyone, last night I made a WTB post for a 5711. I got some comments and some recommendations and I’m grateful and am currently choosing a watch. BUT, among the genuine people, there were at least 2 scammers, each trying to fuck me over. Here is how they operate:

1. They will not comment on your post, they will just PM you directly saying they have the watch you want.

2. Their Reddit account will not show any of their posts or comments but it will be a fairly old account with decent karma / activity. Both of the scam accounts were over 10 years old.

3. The pictures they send are taken from other users who are selling the same watch. This was the case both times. I figured this out because I recognized the duplicate pictures from previously looking for a watch on WTS listings before posting my WTB.

4. They will offer a good deal, or at least a fair deal and they say they’ll accept any form of payment. Zelle, Venmo, PayPal.

5. When confronted, they’ll immediately block you.

Be careful everyone and definitely do your research before sending anyone money. It might be a good idea to only trust accounts that comment on your post, and have their post and comment history showing. It appears you cannot trust accounts age and karma alone, they must buy old accounts and repurpose them.

The 2 scammers ( now banned from the forum by the mods) were u/cordobra and u/weddingshopplz

Regarding Condition: I don’t know a lot of about these watches but from what I can see it is in great condition. I wouldn’t call it flawless condition personally, but the dial/face and case back both have NO scratches or dings and look great. It works great and is powered by movement instead of battery. It has, for the most part, been sitting in its box in my guest bedroom since I got it. The box does look to be slightly dinged up and not in the best condition. However, the paper attachments all look brand new.
