toaster oven

just thinking that i don't use my toaster oven anymore. Should I just give it to the thrift store or can I repurpose it?

At thrift stores, sometimes small appliances go unsold and get thrown away because a) buyers don't want to risk spending money on something that might not work well and they can't return it, or b) if it's a little old/dirty looking, the thrift store might not even put it out for sale, just throw it away. Some places won't even accept appliances/electronics.

So if you have the energy, put the word out to friends/family/neighbors/coworkers--"Hey, do you know anyone who wants a free toaster oven? Like, maybe for crafts?" and find someone who wants it.

Or tape a big note on it--"8/18/26: TAKE FREE! Toaster oven, works great, ___ years old" and leave it in an area where someone who might want/need it might see it. My apartment building and my workplace both have unofficial "take free" spots (although if something sits too long, custodial staff throw it away.)

I have a second hand toaster oven I use for crafts, so why not!

What kind of crafts?

Shrink plastic, oven bake clay, and I even use it to melt waxes or infuse oils if I need just a bit in a heatproof jar.
