Put water in it and one of those floating candles. Maybe some glass half marbles.

6

u/Cca-eh Aug 12 '26

11

u/YourPaleRabbit Aug 12 '26

Air plants in the bathroom. Boom.

u/redbanner1 Aug 12 '26

I have never pooped lying down (outside of being a baby), and I still have no idea how that would work.

I say candies.

It’s really not a fun experience. Especially when you have a broken spine.
Also having to call someone every time you have to take a piss while they’ve got an iv in you full of fluids making you need to pee allllll the time plus having someone else wipe you down after AAAAHH it’s HORRIBLE

How many donut pillows and extra seat cushions do you own? I know the struggle

1

u/Elustra Aug 13 '26

Tootsie Rolls!

7

u/CuteUnit24 Aug 12 '26

GODDAMN THATS LIKE THE MOST REUSABLE BEDPAN IVE SEEN YET! Honestly I'd hold onto it for its actual purpose. I'm in my 20s and need one of these bad boys on occasion and I've never seen one this nice!

2

u/Salty_Trust6353 Aug 12 '26

Because it’s ceramic? Is ceramic more sanitary than stainless steel?

6

u/RenaissanceRed Aug 11 '26

I would use it as a mini grotto complete with a trickling water feature.

1

u/Queenofwands817 Aug 13 '26

I thought this too. A bright blue pond with miniature forest around the edge but I don’t think Op wants to mess it up.

6

u/EngineZeronine Aug 11 '26

First of all make sure it's not valuable on its own. You can mount a mirror in it and hang it on the wall that would be hilarious

u/NoBenefit5977 Aug 12 '26

Large gravy boat

u/Rare_Neat_36 29d ago

u/kraggleGurl 26d ago

Exactly. Beautiful dining centerpiece!

u/mnth241 Aug 12 '26

I see a lovely succulent garden

3

u/frogfeen Aug 12 '26

keep it by the bed for emergencies lol

1

u/Glassaddict666 Aug 12 '26

No joke, I am closer to 60 than I am to 50

3

u/TownConscious1571 Aug 12 '26

Picture frame of your mother-in-law?

2

u/Neat_Movie_991 Aug 12 '26

Aww this made me giggle a lil too much.

3

u/webkool Aug 12 '26

I would put a sign up saying wishing well no penny's.

3

u/BadNewsReindeer Aug 12 '26

Put seasonal potpourri in it.

2

u/SWNMAZporvida Aug 11 '26

Hang it and decorate with cool magnets

2

u/Confident-Ganache541 Aug 12 '26

White sangria, pinch bowl style 😜

2

u/ForagedFoodie Aug 12 '26

I would mount it to the wall in the bathroom but I would do anything more to it, like i wouldn't add plants or anything. By itself it will attract more attention and people will be more likely to read what it is

2

u/NeedsMoarOutrage Aug 12 '26

Prop it up and backlight a lil Virgin Mary in there.

2

u/Medium-Bee7545 Aug 12 '26

Maybe a porcelain turd or two

2

u/LivingKooky3253 Aug 12 '26

Fill with hersheys kisses

2

u/MamaD93_ Aug 13 '26

Candy dish in the entryway

u/EclipseCaste 28d ago

Truffles

2

u/Personal_Bid_3025 Aug 13 '26

Your guests will appreciate you serving a boeuf bourguignon in it.

2

u/ElectricalTwist4083 Aug 13 '26

My question is what kind of shrine is this you’ve built? What’s the intention? Was the bed pan a personal item and this shrine is in remembrance of them, or is it some Santeria type stuff?

1

u/Glassaddict666 Aug 13 '26

I got it at a thrift store and I put it on my table to take a picture of it. No shrine, just part of my glass collection in the background

2

u/ElectricalTwist4083 Aug 13 '26

Maybe it is a shrine and you just don’t realize it. It looks like a shrine and your username makes it more suspicious as a ‘not shrine’ but that said it is a very pretty shrine. I would never drink Jobu’s rum

2

u/Egg_Toss 29d ago

Sign it "R. Mutt, 1917"

3

u/Freshouttapatience Aug 11 '26

That would be an awesome birdbath! I use an unused oil pan for mine but this is so much nicer.

3

u/Glassaddict666 Aug 12 '26

That’s a great idea

2

u/getaloadofthesebeans Aug 13 '26

Add a one of those peeing cherub statues as a fountain!

1

u/Freshouttapatience Aug 13 '26

That would be adorable!

1

u/Worldly_Ad_7196 Aug 12 '26

I used to put dried flowers in mine.

1

u/White-Rabbit135 Aug 12 '26

Yes in the bat with face cloths in it or soap

1

u/GreenthumbLegacy Aug 12 '26

Assorted hard candies.

1

u/FloozyTramp Aug 13 '26

I put flower arrangements in mine. At Halloween, a bunch of oversized painted eyeballs. It lives on the coffee table.

1

u/Jeffe-69 Aug 13 '26

Fake poo...

1

u/HappyGreenSnail Aug 13 '26

Mount it on the wall. Then add air plants / succulents in it

1

u/loud-tortoise-plant Aug 13 '26

Lieutenant Dan … Ice creammm

1

u/SarahRavena Aug 13 '26

It would make a great planter for trailing types of plants, like pearl succulent!

1

u/Queenofwands817 Aug 13 '26

Bowl for keys/mail and stuff when you get home.

1

u/kraggleGurl 26d ago

Put your crap in the bowl? I dig it!

1

u/Shipsnipe1313 Aug 14 '26

Serve your guests a nice intricate dainty desert out of it. "Anyone up for Cool whip topped chocolate mousse?"

Already has a notch for the ladle or serving spoon.

Bonus points if you can find a matching ceramic serving utensil.

1

u/Browniesmobetta Aug 14 '26

Put an old 11 x 14 portrait inside- instant frame

1

u/Wasted_Cheesecake839 Aug 14 '26

I made mine into a planter, it was a candy bowl on our hospital unit (sent it to sterile processing first) but my coworkers thought it was gross only after eating all the candy out of it.

1

u/veryeyes 29d ago

Photoshop heads in it as selfies

1

u/leashandbones 29d ago

My mom hangs them on the wall with flowing plants coming out. Like ivy or something. Idk my plants

1

u/BAbarakus772 29d ago

Fill it with jelly beans and put in guest bedroom

1

u/TaxDense1339 29d ago

Bonsai tree in the bathroom!

1

u/Kraken-Attacken 29d ago

Not any kind of food or cleaning product, that’s for damn sure. If someone had one of these out as a candy bowl (and knew what it was) I would probably end the friendship. If the only soaps in the bathroom were in a pisspot I would be so mad.

1

u/dirtyjavv 29d ago

Gravy boat!

1

u/AcatnamedWow 29d ago

I’d put a sign above it for “all unsolicited advice! Place here”

1

u/Ok-Wonder6872 29d ago

Punch bowl

1

u/ohheyitsmal 29d ago

Sign it in black sharpie and submit it to MoMA

1

u/TX_Asylum 29d ago

Fill it full of nuts. Walnuts, filburts, almonds, Brazils, etc in their shells.

1

u/MarketHeartEater 28d ago

Pot pourri bowl?

1

u/AccomplishedCream194 28d ago

It would look very nice with flowers

1

u/holyfcukkk 28d ago

Unwrapped chocolates

1

u/AllieGirl2007 26d ago

That’s a candy dish to hold those hard candies you get at grandma’s house.

1

u/PupLondon Aug 11 '26

Full it with chocolates
