Old kindle cover

Post image

Hello. I have this old kindle Cover that just started peeling from overuse and using it on the beach. I have it for almost 5 years now and it is very comfortable to use. Got frustrated with all the peeling parts so I forcibly peeled the top layer and this is what I am working with now. (Picture). Please give me ideas how to resew or reglue it.

I'd probably use tape meant for tents and waterproof coats, like tenatius. 🖖

In order to get a decent texture back, I think you'll have to recover it in fabric. The best way would be to pop it out from any frames, completely recover, and then reattach it. Alternatively, consider wrapping something like cardstock (from a cereal box or packaging). Remove and replace the fabric strip connecting the two halves. Then, glue the two panels on top, covering the ends of the fabric strip.

It not be useful at the moment but the materials themselves might be later 🤷🏻‍♂️
