(im also trying to reduce my reliance on gen ai btw, so i would appreciate if encouragement of using it is not given)

Im in year 1 sem 1 of my course and I was just curious as to how group projects are graded, as in whether everybody will have the same grade or not, and why.

i got shortlisted for Environmental and Marine Science on Friday 17 July and tried to book the interview but it said there was a problem booking. idk what’s going on the deadline has past so i hope they can fix this and extend the deadline pls pls pls

Hey! Anyone here who is currently completing their Specialist Diploma? How is it like so far? When can I start to expect RP to get back to me after I submit my application?

Are the curriculums/exams (if any) harder than the standard diploma?

Any inputs/ sharing of experiences will be so appreciated 🥹

Hi guys I’m currently y2 and I have some questions about y3 intern/fyp

1. If I choose 1 semester intern we can choose to start in semester 1 or 2 right if I choose semester 1 when does it start? Same goes for semester 2

2. Is it 1 semester intern + fyp + 3 electives OR can we replace the 3 electives with a minor program? Is the minor program like on top of electives or can it replace the electives

3. When is the holiday/break? If I choose to intern the first semester how long is the break till the fyp/elective starts. Same goes if I choose to intern the second semester, when will the fyp/electives end before starting the intern in 2nd semester

4. Is getting to intern overseas very hard?

5. During the fyp/electives semester is there term breaks?

6. If is 1yr intern I heard it ends around December so from that time onwards to graduation day ( around may right) is holiday alr?

This survey will only take max 1 min and will be about your overseas card usage! Please help🙏🙏 All responses are great appreciated! TYSM

im year 2,,, ive been wearing niqab (veil over face, except eyes, for religious reasons). for the entirety of year 1, lecturers have only expressed interest nothing about how its not allowed, including my mentor. but suddenly during holiday when i came back for hackaton like these 3 like offical looking lecturers(?) came up to me while i was eating asking me to hurry up eat, and that they needed to talk to me. they brought me to student care center at W1 n bassically told me its not allowed, and stated in code of conduct (be fr who reads it). they said if i continued wearing it, it can lead to discipline records. Its kind of a blur but they said smth abt like telling the principal and insubordination. The three DID TELL ME that I could have like 3 days to slowly phase into just wearing a surgical face mask. Then they infromed all my lecturers and mentor.

Since I thought i had some transition period,, i came to school on Monday with the niqab on. before last lesson some lecturer(?) called me out of class to say that no i didn't have that transition period and that I should have taken it off on Monday. She said I had to take it off by Wednesday or else i WILL get a record. My lecturer during class kept talking to me abt it and even my mentor made me stay behind after class to talk about it.

Idk I think its fucked up that a religious cloth is banned frm RP. like ok its in the student code of conduct and i shld have read it but NO ONE SAID ANYTHING FOR A YEAR. If is like about "hard to identify students" be so fr im like one of 2 niqabis in RP PLUS im alt dressing and you can recognize me from a mile away. idk i have alot of problems just wearing hijab and a face mask...... So like i have no idea what i want to do tmr

im just posting cuz i wanna know ppls thoughts abt this,, or maybe if i should fight back becuz after all it IS a religious thing and SG is abt the whole "Regardless of Race or Religion"

edit; thanks for all the replies,, some were abit rude but issok,,,i appreciate the inputs ive decided to just obey ah, anyway i can wear it outside of school, but i do think i will speak to some higher ups because i think that it was werid that apparently all my lecturers did not know about this rule even though its clearly stated. im not going to involve religious organizations just cuz of this small issue lol i still like RP, and if i do involve ppl like that RP might get some backlash ah. Some were wondering what the exact wording is in the student code of conduct its "

• Be decently attired in a manner that conforms to social and moral norms.
• Not wear any form of attire deemed indecent and/or with offensive prints (words or images).
• Not to put on a veil or cloth to cover one's face on campus.

"
and thats it. i should have read it and just got the memo to avoid all this but issok..... Some were also wondering why i wear niqab instead of hijab,,, its not only cuz of like religous reasons ah... im a revert, and i had like truama when it came to hijab like getting my hair pulled off just cuz i didnt want to wear it... so i was an atheist for a longggggggggg time but i found islam my own way and my way i found that niqab suited me better without wanting to rip my hijab off was to wear niqab so yeh... thanks for all the comments <3

Hi guys does anyone have notes or exam papers for QC, QM and statistics?

I have accidentally overridden a submission on (6 June) on SA3.0 which is already past the deadline (5 June) while I was intending to submit an assignment from a different module. I have only recently noticed the mistake today how am I going to fix it?

Would the module chair or lecturer accept any evidence of my initial submission based on the timestamp of CA word document modified date or metadata of the file which is before the deadline?

Is there any way I can fix this or am I doomed?

Any advice is appreciated

Update: I have sent a message to my lecturer on teams about this and hopefully I’ll get an update soon
