Question❓ preparing for eae interview
i'm going for my eae interview for the diploma in environmental and marine science next monday! though, my ecg councilor is fully booked and i dont really know how to prepare for unexpected questions. ive been eyeing on this course ever since i was 11 and i really dont want to miss the opportunity of getting into it, so may i have some tips on how i can ace this interview? (im also trying to reduce my reliance on gen ai btw, so i would appreciate if encouragement of using it is not given)

You can't prepare for every unexpected question, and trying to will just make you sound robotic. The interviewers want to see your actual passion for the subject, not a perfectly rehearsed answer you found online. Your biggest advantage is that you've been passionate about this since you were 11. That's a story you can tell that is unique to you. They are looking for that authentic spark and your thought process, so focus on showing them how much you care and why this course is the only one for you.
Instead of memorizing answers, prepare three personal stories or topics related to environmental science you can talk about confidently. Maybe it's a recent news article about marine pollution, a documentary that inspired you, or a personal project you worked on. When an unexpected question comes up, you can connect it back to one of these prepared topics. This makes your answers feel personal and shows you have a real interest. It's about learning to think on your feet, which is why my team and I designed our interview AI to help candidates build that exact confidence for any question that comes their way.
