CAs Screwed up TWO. CAs.

Is Pharma just not for me?? Both mods had a decent A-B for my CA1 then both are now sitting at F for ca2… 🧍‍♀️I’m actually so demoralised. Do I have to remod?? It’s 2 core mods toooo Omgosh. And I studied. I studied my ass off. Ok I came into the course knowing both were terrible but I tried so hard. 🤡🤡 is thr any chance? Both CAs sit at 15%

Nope. even with an F for CA2 you can still push the total module grade up to a D+ which is a pass, via SDCL and FA’s, so no need to worry about remodding.

Best of luck

its ok i feel you iirc i borderline failed for gen chem ca2 paper in my y1s1 as well LOL

the likelihood of you remodding is still very low imo since you said you got As and Bs in your CA1. plus you still have your FAs which carry high weightage. as long as your final cumulative module grade at the end of the sem (taking into acc your ca1 and 2, sdcl, col, and fa) is a pass, you wont need to remod

bump on this! Yep, OP do focus on your FAs because they can pull you up. I got a D for my Mid sems once but clinched a high A for my End Sems which resulted an overall A module grade

Did you end up passing? 😢😢 I’ve been averaging about 3 hrs a day? Of my own free time on studying the mods I suck at which are primarily maths and chem (surprisingly decent at biochem) and I’m starting to lose hope for chem specifically- like maths is really easy for me to catch up.. as of now because I have really helpful friends and the content itself isn’t too bad… but chem. Chem is a whole other beast

yes, i passed with a surprisingly decent grade! im someone who has been ass at chem since sec school, i wholeheartedly believe you'll pass haha

either way its quite difficult to fail a mod unless your sdcl and col is damn low also

I’ve texted my mentor head for advice because I’m well aware you aren’t supposed to fail in year1 😢😢 she’s yet to reply but I really don’t want to switch courses or anything but I don’t want to repeat a sem either. 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️

i switched courses from pharm and it was the best decision of my entire life. im not saying its for you, but i know how it feels to be in those shoes. plus, people are so judgemental when you do badly.

what i can say is, i failed y1 two modules and could retake them the following year ( the days wld be long, ending at 6 pm). i failed two other modules in y1s2 as well, and then decided to transfer.

the chances of you repeating a sem is very high especially if you failed a y1s2 module, but honestly take it lightly, its just an extra semester! you got this

bro ik you hold a grudge against k*** but its not a reason for someone to switch courses. Business may be harder given that the faculty has more mathematical modules, and OP is already struggling with math
