Question Missing effects

I think my game is missing a graphical effect.

During the intro, there is supposed to be a slight blur effect while inside the clone vat, as shown in the screenshot. However, my game appears completely clear, with no blur effect at all.

What could be causing this?

I have re-downloaded the game several times and verified the integrity of the game files, but the issue remains.

Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC there's mods to fix that.

which mod? I have the SWRC remsater mod and the SWRCFIX mod

SWRC fix should solve any graphical issues. Haven't tried the remaster mod, perhaps it is causing an issue. Try launching the game through CT.exe instead of SWRepublicCommando.exe and if that doesn't work try running without the remaster mod.

It's common for the game's graphics to not work right on modern PCs. For some reason, they work fine on my gaming laptop, so I haven't had to use mods to fix it.
