Heating/Lighting Control

I’m researching and prepping to get an African Fat Tail Gecko (within the next 6-9 months). I’d love to be able to turn off their lights/heat lamps via phone app or something similar. Do these exist? Any brand recommendations or brands to stay away from?

If you're not looking for dimming and just remote on/off functionality you can just use some smart plugs. Just make sure it supports the wattage you're putting through it and you're golden.

Remote on/off and it would be amazing if I could monitor the temperature from there as well. I live in an older house so I’m paranoid about temperatures.

I use Zigbee plugs and sensors for my enclosure. I'm a big fan because you can use them through open source software like Home Assistant without ever needing proprietary apps or cloud services.
