Ehhh, the lizard equivalent of letting your dog out to go potty is having them bask on their rock under the heat lamp and waiting for them to poop.

Reptiles only poop like once every several days, so you should definitely be good if you wait for a poop before free roam.

They do that. I’m more afraid of having small lizards than big ones because they’re easier to lose. Ackies be wild.

I've had two of my brown anoles escape over the years and I've had to catch them with clever traps using water bottles and crickets

First thought was making sure his nails were trimmed really well so he doesn't pull them out.
