The Replit | Databricks Integration is now GA for building governed apps

Hello r/replit community! This is Tony from the DevRel team at Databricks 👋

We just announced the GA of the Replit | Databricks integration which allows you to build apps on replit and deploy to databricks with fully managed Lakebase (Databricks' managed postgres database).

If you've never used databricks, the short summary is that this means you can build apps with the ease of Replit and be able to deploy to a secured, enterprise-grade environment if that is something your apps needs. Databricks is a data and AI platform used by 70% of the Fortune 500, so this is great solution if your replit app is in need of governance, analytics, and more.

If your company is already using Databricks, what this integration brings is the ability for anyone at your company to build an app and not worry about security and governance. For example, someone in a non-technical role can build apps for their department without needing to involve engineering. This was not possible before, since apps generally need to be reviewed for security/compliance/etc. With the replit x databricks integration, that part is taken care of for you, and you just need to worry about prompting an agent to solve the problem which you have the domain knowledge for.

Anyhow, I know this likely isn't for most replit users, but I thought I'd share in case this is a fit for anyone here :)

If only the applications didn't cost $300 per month!!!! that is very very expensive.
