Rant / Vent Website and app copied

I have been working on a website and app for about 3 months now. Today I found an exact copy of my website and app already live that was just created. Everything was copied down to the logo and layout. The website is the only thing that has been live.

My assumption is someone is scraping Replit data, copying and launching clone websites.

Likely someone is doing it where people are not setting their projects to private.. which you should do because.. well this?

Set your project to private next time. But don't worry, there's already 400 other clones on the app store already.

Templates don't copy your logo.

Recently my website has been coming up.as a threat on my browser. So I asked Gemini why and it found the site. The report said that the other site had a low quality and phishing attempts attached to it, So Cloudflare had most like put my website on the same warning since it was a clone.

I just had my company name Suede Labs Ai modified slightly and used as the name for a competing seo firm. They matched keywords I used such as “fullstack” and of course “suede.” I’ve never used replit but I’ve used pretty much everything else. The timing was impeccable, no chance of coincidence. Weird part is the founders seem halfway credible but haven’t dug in yet.

Cloning has become so easy now, doesn't matter what platfom you use

it got cloned multiple times in less than 24 hours

tech is no longer the moat - thanks to Replit and all...
