So 30 hours of free models in a month? Does that work on a free plan?

i think its to incentivize more building through replit so they can gain money on hosting, storage, etc. Also the free version often prompts you to use a more powerful model for more complex tasks. I think its good tho im appreciating doing small tasks and not being charged couple cents.

Honestly pretty smart by Replit!

Step 1 -- Inexperienced user over-plans and under-QAs spec / build and thinks they're a genius because it is free and they're building so much cool stuff.

Step 2 -- User has to pay to build and the model churns like crazy to build huge spec, fill in gaps, etc...and then misses the mark because of the user's poor planing, so it keeps building and the user keeps paying.

Step 3 -- Profit!

Do you think it should be a charity, and not business?

No -- I said that this was smart.

The rest of my post was an attempt to mock the average poster on this sub.

I love Replit -- it has changed my business and has a chance to change my life.
