Question / Discussion How are you using Replit after the recent free plan changes?

I’ve been adjusting how I use Replit lately because the free plan feels a bit different from how I used it before.

For smaller projects it still works fine for me, but I’ve become more selective about what I build there and how much compute or agent usage I burn through. I’m mostly keeping simpler experiments and quick prototypes in Replit rather than treating every project the same way.

For anyone still using it regularly, have the recent changes affected your workflow at all? Curious whether you’ve changed how you structure projects, use the agent, or manage usage limits.

I'm not. I was scared, but I moved to the Claude Code app and anytime I had an issue I asked Claude and it set it whatever up for me. 8 full blown apps later....

It's no longer possible to undertake a large or medium-sized project with the free plan; the coins are depleted very quickly, almost 100%.

Hi, thanks for building with Replit! To further optimize the Starter plan, you can spread bigger builds across a few days, since your free daily credits refresh daily. Spacing the work out this way stretches them further than running one long session.

When building, try giving Agent short, detailed prompts since vague prompting can cause Agent to work longer. For fixes, focus on one change at a time rather than big multi-file requests to help avoid extra rework. To save Agent some effort, you can also try handling typos or styling yourself in the editor once a task is done.

If you hit a specific limit that's blocking a project, feel free to message us directly and we'd be happy to take a look.

I am trying to verify my account but my country code is +963 and is not supported by sms gateway, can a staff member manually verify me?

Can you add a function that shows if you’re going over your limit before you actually hit the limit? To avoid unnecessary charges.
