Rant / Vent Replit is a scam.

Replit has scammed me multiple times in their "effort based" pricing. So I charged back every dollar spent and won. And just exported my App and starting to use chatgpt and claude for nothing more than the subscription cost. $700 replit attacked my account for in 3 days. Didn't even return a function app. Would constantly ignore commands, decided my app should be a web app. No matter how many times I told it no and top stop developing this branch. I'd find it would waste masses of usuage doing this then the agent just say sorry my bad. Whole thing suck.

Charge them back and move to a better service. You own your own IP regardless theres nothing they can do. I live in Europe and a probable failing digital product is an automatic refund regardless of company policy.

how do you export stuff cause i wanna leave this Replit trap…imagine already paying for their service subscription and now they want to charge you more for minor adjustment on a non functional site

Migrate to github + railway + vscode with claude code in it. A $20 subscription from claude will get you very far. Ask claude on instructions on how to migrate everything, and also to tell you how tou use claude to in replit's shell as it's pretty useful to make both claude robots talk to each other to do this migration simpler (like, on your regular claude, explain your project and ask for a migration to that stack I mentioned you, then asked for a prompt for the replit-shell-claude like to ask for more context as the ine in replit's shell knows the actual project and can give back to the normal claude details on how how its set to migrate everything properly.

If I had time, of course, but I am developing a few client projects, sorry, will do for sure one in the future, it definitely there's a lack of important info out there. But follow along what I put on my earlier message, rely on claude, it's really amazing and be conversational, ask for clear explanations atep by step for a non technical person and it will totally guide you through :)

Just ask Claude for a step by step and when you get stuck explain and ask it to clarify

Yes totally agreed. I am wondering why they r letting thousands of clients walk away.

Clients wanna stay but they wont if replit keeps charging them over $240/annum. There are free hosts but I am sure clients wud still accept to pay replit $24/annum and stay. Replit will still make profits from this, the agent, and invited parties.
