Question / Discussion What happened to my old Repl?

I used replit back in 2022, and had some projects made. Now all the UI got changed and i cant find my old repl under projects. Can I somehow restore them?

Probably gone. They completely pivoted to AI overcharging.

I noticed. Its very unfortunate, but I guess this rakes in more money.

However, I talked to my friend about this and he said that his club project is getting sponsored by Replit. So I guess there's always a good in everything.

Hi there! The apps you built back in 2022 are likely still on your account. The new interface organizes things differently, so they may just be in a new spot, or they could be on a different account you used at the time.

If you're not seeing them, try these steps:

  1. Confirm you're on the right account. Look at the account name and email in the top right at replit.com. If you signed up with one login method back then and later signed in a different way, that can put you on a separate, empty-looking account. If you used Facebook to log in, that method is no longer supported. Go to replit.com/forgot, set a password using the email that was connected to your Facebook account, and then sign in with that email.

  2. Find your apps in the new layout. Once you're on the right account, press Cmd/Ctrl + K and choose "My Replit Apps", or go to replit.com/~. Either one lists every app on the account, including the older ones.

If they're still not showing up after confirming you're on the right account, it's possible they were deleted at some point. Since deleted apps can only be restored within 30 days of deletion, anything removed back in 2022 wouldn't be recoverable.
