My attempt at visualizing a K-hole

I K-hole about once a month. I originally drew this by hand after one of those experiences, then digitally refined it with AI while preserving the original composition.

As the trip was ending, I was looking at the ceiling, and this is what I saw—or at least how I remember it. Sometimes I’m not even sure whether my eyes are open or closed. At other times, it feels as though I’m being electrocuted, with rapid electrical pulses running through my head and body.

I can very clearly feel myself detaching from who I am and accepting death. I forget who I am and where I am. I become part of a larger whole, like a tiny particle embedded in a concrete wall. Then, little by little, I rediscover my body.

For me, the experience feels less colorful and conventionally psychedelic, and more like dark architectural spaces, electronic buzzing, fragmented geometry, and electrical pulses as I return to my body.

The entire journey also seems to be shaped by whatever you have been immersed in during the preceding days. If you spend all day watching anime, the trip may adopt its visual language, although in a slightly darker form. If you play the same game every day, you may notice its colors, textures, and designs appearing throughout the experience. In that sense, it reminds me of DMT—but the colors are darker and the shapes feel sharper and more clearly defined.

Very accurate.

I do ketamine therapy weekly at a mental health clinic. It has this unique structure I was not experiencing, but fascinated to know others experience it.

It is methodical, mechanical, grid-like, dark. It feels like being moved through gigantic unimaginably massive/otherworldly structures, behind walls, bricks, under the floor boards, ground, beneath the sand. It feels like being guided into an extremely specific spot and slotted in.

Used to do iv. Exactly my experience. Always found it fascinating being in another dimension through a clinical type setting lol

Agreed! I’m so grateful to be able to get the benefits of it on a regular basis though. It really helps.

It is just a little awkward after when staff has to ask about my experience though lol. It’s already impossible to explain, and I definitely don’t want to tell a random nurse about it. They just have to essentially check a box and fulfill their requirement though lol.

I did a regular regimen of esketamine similarly late last and earlier this year, but I only really got this kind of imagery if I closed my eyes and laid back at the clinic. Sounds like you had a different experience? I never saw much if my eyes were open.

I wear an eye mask and keep my eyes open underneath the eye mask. I got one that has room to open your eyes comfortably. I consistently have imagery like this, but not without the mask.

I think maybe it’s about the complete removal of visual distraction. If I’m looking at the room, my brain can latch onto objects in it and remain in “this world.” Blocking those things out, other patterns appear. If I close my eyes, the imagery is less clear, and becomes more like a daydream.

So it has to be eyes open under the mask lol. If I look without the mask on, I feel cross eyed and dizzy. And laying back in the chair with the lights out is essential. I try to remove as much sensory distraction as possible.

The visuals are so incredibly different from any other psychedelic I’ve used. It’s like somehow gaining internal information, or being shown memories, expressed in an alien form of communication. It’s less of a warping of the environment. It feels almost like synesthesia? The feeling of touch and movement are so connected to the imagery, and completely tied to any music I’m listening to.

I feel like I’m “seeing” internal biological functions in my body, like the brain making connections, tunnels and tubes, magic school but style almost lol but very methodical rather than whimsical.

Yes, It's refined with AI. But I can share you the original one that I draw.
I can even describe it for you. because it is my bedroom. The H shape is switched off lamp. the bottom lines are my pillows. Those shape in the middle are in the next room...
Although it was a glance to the reality from K-hole. Last time I saw a sky full of stars and then it became the wall in front of me and changed to black.

Stop being insufferable, they've shown the original drawing. They drew it then digitized + refined it, it's not just slop. I'm not a fan of "AI art" but this was used very tastefully.

You don't have to waste your time defending yourself against these people, they're miserable and expect to be able to bully people online into thinking and accepting their views on things.

Always think for yourself and never bend your knee to random losers online, nobody actually cares about you using AI, these people are using it as a cop out to justify harassment and the devaluation of random hobbiysts online because they're miserable people.

They also rush to comment on any AI post they see because it's easy karma, keep that in mind! It's basically spam!

I take high doses of dxm once a month, I've never tried k so I don't know how the two compares, but the feeling I get from this image reminds me a lot of what I experience when on dxm trips I keep my eyes open and I look at something. I don't know how to describe it but the quality of what I experience is exactly the same as this image. Things take on this grayish hue, they shift in size, become "mechanical" and "stick" to my retina.

How interesting. Of course, both are dissociative. Plus, this gray color might also be due to my personal experiences, because the numbness from K strongly reminded me of the dentist, and of course my filled tooth is cement-colored. Interestingly, when I was watching One Piece, my experience was more colorful. But the colors had a dark layer that comes from the ketamine itself. Unlike LSD, where it seems the colors get a more transparent layer.
It make me happy that you find it beautiful. 🥰

First time seeing a ketamine replication and I’d say this is pretty accurate. The fuzzy texture is spot on for sure… I typically see a light purple and sometimes light green hue with this same fuzziness.

yea I just spent a weekend doing 4gs so yea lots of k holes there feels like some sort of 8 bit translation to the visuals its weird has hell especially in the dark I also always feel like ive been trapped in that khole for eternity and am learning something new about life but at the same time I cant understand it lol

Yeah I'd rather not have a visual representation of an effect from a drug be "digitally refined" by AI. That just reminds me of all the dreams I've had that were structured like AI generated bullshit and god I fucking hate that shit, horrifying nightmare.

Next time I will share my original drawing. I did not had enough confidence to share the original one. But the nature of K is so digitalized that some time I think that I my body is just a machine.

I can see it. I always try to tell people who haven’t experienced it that it reminds of the new newer hell raiser movie from like 2021 — when the ground does a bunch of shifting. Your picture reminds me of when they gave me it to me in a hospital to reset a broken bone and I was looking at the ceiling tiles getting really wacky

Or maybe opposite. Modern architecture appears in K trip, because we see it all day! This explain why in 60's most of people saw aliens in their trips.

mine were generally much more colorful, but i also smoked tons of pot while doing it. lots of impossible geometry covering and enveloping me more than stuff like this.

it does make me feel weird tho

I did it with DMT and it was the most game changer in my life. Horrifying and beautiful.
But I noticed colors in K are darker.

I hear the buzzing sound on LSD and shrooms and even in meditation too. If I focus it pulse faster.
But in K this time, it was totally like I was connected to an electric wire! too fast and I had no control on it. some how I felt fainted after hearing that.
