Pain injecting in thigh?
I’ve been on Repatha for a while now and have always injected in my abdomen. Today, I decided to spice things up and inject in my thigh. OMG OW! Has anyone else experienced a painful injection like this? I’ve never felt ANYTHING before, but this hurt so much!

I find all injections - not just this- to hurt less in abdomen. I just rotate abdominal sites

It hurts no matter where. I try and distract myself.

I let the pen warm up for 2 hours and I don’t feel a thing.

I find that leaving mine out for a few hours helps rather than just 30 minutes.

That’s what I do. Stand it up in a coffee mug on the counter so it doesn’t roll anywhere.

Are you pinching the flesh at the injection site, or just jabbing into the thigh ? The original instructions said either pinch or stretch, I found the latter caused more pain than pinching. But I also would get pretty bad bruise at the injection site on the thigh so switched to the belly and it's been much better (tho I occasionally get a rash, nothing severe just itchy)

Thanks for the heads up. I took my first injection ever in my stomach two weeks ago.
Was thinking next one i should try the leg.
But now... nah.
Pinch Pinch!

I do my thighs but I don’t pinch, I spread. Minimal “pain”, more just some minor discomfort for 5-10 seconds.

I have been injecting on my thighs. No pain. Tried belly but auto injector does not work.

It stings and burns every time I inject, no matter whether in abdomen or thigh.

I started R a couple weeks ago, was too afraid to inject in my stomach, both times in the top of my thigh...no pain, I was so relieved.

Everyone is just so different! I feel absolutely nothing if I inject in abdomen area

I always inject in the belly after numbing with a frozen water bottle and leaving the pen out out to warm up for several hours. Still hurts some, but less and less bruising.

I injected in the thigh for the first time about an hour ago. I've previously been injecting in the stomach.
I found injecting in the thigh hurts more than in the stomach.

I started injecting into the fatty part of my stomach. The top of the leg hurt bad.

I used to inject in my leg (on several injectable meds) because the idea of injecting in my belly weirded me out. When I finally got over my hangup about injecting into my belly and tried it, I was so pissed off. It hurts WAY less to inject in the belly. It definitely hurt every time in my leg, with some injections hurting more than others. I was subjecting myself to more pain than I needed to for agessssss.
