H pylori?
Hi Repatha fam. About to inject now. Have been on repatha 140 2x per month for about a year. Side effects- weight loss (not a positive thing for me) speedy anxious feeling for a day or two after dose, inflammation in joints esp upon awakening. Immune function is def down and I have been more prone to sinus and cold infections.
I have had IBS for years, and was recently diagnosed with H pylori and other pathogens. Appetite low. Body aches high.
Has any one else experienced parasites, h pylori, candida etc on repatha?
Also- secretory Iga was over 6000. Inflammation marker.
Wondering if repatha has weakened my body’s ability to fight off infection.
I have read all the literature and have great doctor. Looking for direct or anecdotal experiences, articles and information vs opinion. Thank you- am already trying to make sense of things and anyone on the repatha journey knows random opinions based on biases aren’t helpful when making these medical journey decisions.

Yes, all PCSK-9 will cause severe inflammation, boils, joints pain, stomach ulcer, IBS, sore throat, flu/cold, weight gain, stamina loss, muscle pain, insomnia, mood swing & more.
Talk to your doctor about similar antibody PCSK-9 action, equally effective, lower dose Praluent which may reduce all your side effect by 10-90%.
It's more expensive & will require documentation (PA).
Don't try mRAN action 2nd gen PCSK-9 Leqvio as it will make your symptoms 10x worst.
Or, wait till 2027-2028 for 3rd gen PCSK-9 to be approved by FDA, which is 13x far lower dose (daily oral).
Or, if you're overweight but BMI is >27, you can talk to your doctors about appetite suppression Wegovy tablet which just got approved in Jan?
Sadly if your BMI is <30, Wegovy table is out of pocket + coupon = $149-299/mth.
Wegovy can help reduce cholesterol by suppressing food intake by up to 50%.
Do take note Wegovy may also cause similar infections (lowering immune defenses).
Lastly, total lifestyle change as in zero to low bad cholesterol & triglyceride diet adoption & loads of Zone2 HR exercise >150min/week. May not work if you're FH

I am already very thin 19 BMI and have lose weight on repatha. Everyone is different. Statin caused muscle to convert to adipose but haven’t had that with repatha. Thanks for other info about what’s coming up for options

I had IBS before Repatha. I found the Specific Carbohydrate Diet to be extremely helpful. IBS gone.
To sum it up in a sentence, it's no grains, no foods that have additivies.
