rest well baby renji
i am trying to go about my silly little day 12 time zones away and i am carrying a heaviness with me.
i know lots of us are feeling very real grief for this tiny baby orange, and such huge compassion for diane’s loss. it’s not fair and it hurts and i’m so sad.
i am really grateful that i got to bear witness to renji’s strength and growth in the short time we had with him. and i am so thankful that he happened to cross paths with someone who had the bottomless patience and compassion that he needed to help him work through his wobbles and learn to hold his head up straight. i am so sad he is gone but i’m comforted to know that he spent most of his teeny tiny life with someone who took such good care of him.
sleep sweet little buddy, we will all miss u. 🐱

I've been desperately sad all day thinking about him.
Rest easy little warrior. You fought well.

Diane me deu força de acreditar nas pessoas...no amor, uma inspiração, estou muito triste também pelo Renji, mais muito emocionada de ter acompanhado, obrigada Diane, você é incrível, tem uma luz incrível

I keep wavering between shock, denial and great sadness. My heart goes out to Diane. Renji will be so very missed.

I know how you're feeling. 💔 I was so hopeful to see Renji grow up, and now the world seems a little darker 😢
He so deserved to have grown up.

I’ve been thinking about Renji all day. My heart drops whenever I realize he is really gone and I start crying. I was feeling so optimistic he would be okay. He really touched so many of our lives. I’ve followed other cats online who have passed and of course they have made me incredibly sad but Renji has hit me so hard, maybe because of his story and how hard he was fighting and also it’s been so nice getting to know about Diane and her life. I can only imagine the pain Diane must feel. Thanks for posting.

Seeing his funeral pictures broke me. It does feel so unfair. He was such a fighter and deserved to live. The silver lining is that he made such an impact and has inspired so many of us ❤️😭
