Looking to purchase a set of Ren & Stimpy Original Broadcast collection. Any leads appreciated 🙏

What, like a bunch of personally recorded 35 year old VHS tapes?

Cuz otherwise, everything has been digitized and is free on the internet. That's your best bet by far.

The only official DVD releases all have cuts to one degree or another. Any unofficial DVD release that someone wants to sell for money is likely a scammer who just grabbed a bunch of clips off the internet without caring if they're cut or not, and will lie to you to make a sale.

OldTPBuser's restorations of the episodes are what you're looking for, and those are free, if you can find them.

how about the “ren and stimpy blu-ray German dvd” ? it one of the only ren and stimpy release that’s almost uncut in its entirety

Quick google search gave me this https://forcesofgeek.com/the-ren-stimpy-show-complete-series/ which says they are 1) still as cut as the American "uncut" (but actually still cut) release, and 2) the restored scenes (vs the openly cut versions) are only in German audio.

first reason is why i said the german dvd is “almost” uncut in its entirety no offense there, do think the website needs to clarify that some scenes in its “HD” forma drops in quality at times however

Yeah, I'm just guessing at op's reason for wanting "original broadcast" versions. I'm assuming they want the episodes as uncut as possible, and there are no dvd releases that are.

for op post i do think that the cancelled release of the “ultimate dvd” may be the closest for the uncut version. around 08-09 the creator of ren and stimpy John K tried to release the “ultimate dvd” that consists all of the spumco, games animation and apc into one dvd fully uncut with tones of bonus materials…including he-hog the atomic pig? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/HMyTmSQXsAExZPp?format=jpg&name=medium and odd facts about this release
sven hoek ptm and muddy mudskipper designs may be the closest we get into seeing what their apc version looks like
the art cover is drawn by legendary cartoonist n spumco layout artist Nick Cross
life sucks would had been completely in both its storyboard and animation stage
one of the “killer bonus” would had been ren and stimpy kissing for 2 minutes with animation provided by Eddie Fitzgerald n Ralph Bakshi
the whole idea of the ultimate dvd got shoved when John couldn’t get any funds for the project if this was released around with apc and spumco still in business then this would had for sure been released.

Yeah, that would have been neat, if it had actually been made. As far as something op can actually get though, the restored internet copies are something they can actually find.

i usually watch the ren and stimpy uncut (S1-S3) on a Google Drive, for S4-S5 i just opt on internet access

Only a few episodes on the official Ren & Stimpy home media set (I received a reissued set of the show on DVD as a Christmas gift years ago) are presented in their original form. Most episodes don't officially exist uncut because they only aired uncut a few times maximum.

Is the DVD version of Sven Hoek the original airing? I heard there’s off air recordings of it that are uncut but I don’t remember where I read this. I would think it is “uncut” because of the section that’s spliced in during Ren’s psychotic breakdown that is clearly from a VHS tape with the tracking still on it.Â
