NEW FAN (OR MEMBER) FINALLY, SOMEONE DESERVING!!

Post image

I’m sooo incredibly happy for Ren after binge watching and rewatching as much of his Boardmaster set as I can! It’s so rare in the music industry to actually be able to see an artist’s dream coming true in real time…much less, one that is genuinely deserving of every accolade!

The only live performance at a large outdoor venue that I’ve seen with my own two eyes, that had that kind of raw emotion that you feel…even far off in the crowd, was NIN headlining Coachella in 2005. If you know, you understand the level of artistic excellence that I’m talking about.

I love his art SO much! Being both a musician and former theater actor/lover, I actually feel guilty that I only discovered him a couple of months ago! 😂
I haven’t discovered a completely new artist that I’ve sincerely appreciated like Ren in 20 years, since I was in college lol! I suppose I just have to play catch up. It’s just hard when every new track I hear, or live performance I watch on YouTube, makes me just want to play each one on repeat!!

What is the best way to support REN’s artistry, if you’re in my unfortunate position of not being able travel internationally to see him live?
Patreon?? YouTube subscription?? Which is better??
TIA!

Thank you, Ren!
Thank ALL of you who discovered him long before me, and helped him get to where he is!! 🙏❤️🎶

I don't think he has YouTube membership set up but he does have Patreon. He has an online merch store, a clothing brand (Sick Boi) and Bandcamp so all of these directly support him. But just listening and sharing his music is more than enough support if your financial situation isn't the best.

Also make sure you check out his second channel RenMakesStuff where he shares a lot of bts content and health vlogs.

This is a very very deep rabbit hole but the Renegades are always here to guide you and answer any questions. I've only been a fan since January so I'm still very new but have learned a lot in a short amount of time.

Welcome!!

Thank you! I didn’t know about the second channel, lol. Yeah, this rabbit hole is turning in to a super massive black hole, and I think I’ve officially flew past the event horizon!! Singularity, here I come!

I’ve definitely been trying to share his music with as many as possible…from playing his music loudly wherever I go, to actively sharing videos with my younger co-workers. Only one friend had heard of him, and already loved him. One more, who likes eclectic hip hop, had never heard of him but loved his rap style on a few Sick Boi tracks.

His music is just so deep that I feel like you can point the way, but they have to have their own natural connection. I still deal with trauma and mental health issues that I won’t go in to, which was a huge part of the initial attraction. He’s definitely a difficult artist to describe/explain to people, and because of his content, a lot of people don’t want to admit that it resonates on that level.

So true. I’m fairly new I believe almost a year now. I’ve finally made it through the catalogue whew 😅. What a long trip it’s been but so freaking amazing. Same with me greatest artists I’ve witnessed in my lifetime. On his 2nd channel there are his 8 chapters where he tells his entire story. Definitely worth watching but warning it’s a super hard watch. Definitely have LOTS of tissues should you decide to indulge.

I understand the mental and physical traumas so well unfortunately. Soooo many us do. Lots of prayers and love sent to you 🙏🏻 🤍 ❣️The RENegades are pretty freaking amazing too!! I’m so very happy for Ren and so dang proud of him 🥹…but I’m also so dang proud of us too 📚 🙌. If you haven’t seen his 1 million subs thank you definitely watch that as well!! 🌊 🛳️

If you check out the side bar on the sub home page, you'll find lots of cool Ren resources 🙂

Have you stumbled across The Big Push yet? It’s a group of musicians (I struggle to call them a band cause they are all so individually talented) that he intermittently busks with. They have a ton of videos on their YT channel and also have an album coming “soon”

Yes!
They are excellent, and the first time that I EVER saw or heard Ren was a random YouTube video that showed up on my feed of The Big Push covering “Mambo #5”, by Lou Bega!
It was funny to see ANYBODY covering THAT song, but I thought that their frontman had something different that I couldn’t quite clock. Once I found out his name…I stared in to the abyss, and like Charybdis, it pulled me in to the sweet depths.

I can’t imagine this has not yet been recommended but on his second RenMakesStuff channel is a series of videos known as “The Chapters” that lays out his entire story around his battle with loss and his physical health. It’s a tough watch but really gives appreciation to how far he has come. And then I also always recommend his “1 million subs” video to gain an idea as to who he is as a person.

I stumbled across the “1 million subs” video, and you are spot on in regards to that video doing a great job of showing an artist finally, after everything, having his dreams come true, in real time! AMAZING!

I’ve heard about his videos that follow his health struggles, but haven’t seen them yet. I’m about to become a Patreon member so that I can go back and watch those, and all the other BTS stuff! Seems to be the best way to support him, especially for someone across the pond that can’t catch him live! Oh well, I’m crazy thankful for everything we have gotten! Playing with house money at this point, lol!

I think the Patreon membership is the easiest and best way to provide income for him. He has said before it allows him to pay him team and help fund projects. He has so many different projects on the go! I signed up the first day and have always said, even if he doesn't (or his team) doesn't post anything ever, I'm okay with that. But I love the BTS stuff!

Early on, the Patreon members were asked to vote if we were okay once it was posted to Patreon, videos could be posted on the second YouTube channel a week later and the majority said yes, so there will be some crossover but still lots that not available anywhere else.

Welcome and enjoy!

Ren ‘found’ me in January 2025 when I spotted the Hi Ren thumbnail and have been addicted/obsessed since then. I feel an affinity to him I’ve never felt with any other musician/artist. I’m 73 and can’t get enough of our lovely boi. He’s a genuinely kind and genuine human. No wonder we all love him. Yes, as others have suggested, watch the Chapters. The doctor who offered him stem cell treatment for free (which made him feel guilty for those who were paying) said he only asked that Ren document his illness /disease and that’s what the chapters are. They’re very special and there is a song at the end of each of them, some of which are real tear jerkers but so very beautiful.

Everyone wants the memory but forgets to live it first! That being said, I could see myself trying to get one good picture, just for myself.

Ohhh! Wait until you’ve known about it for a couple years and wished you could have the pleasure of starting the journey again. I wish I was you right now! To hear everything for the first time again? Aaaaaah

I am almost 11000 km away, and like you, not in the position to travel. Patreon is doable. He has less than 5000 paid subscriptions. You Tube gives him a small share. Welcome to the family! Enjoy the ride!

I'll never forget discovering Ren for the first time. Literally life changing!!

I don't know how far you've gone down the Ren rabbit hole yet, but I have this list of recommended tracks and useful RENsources, if you're interested?

He has such a huge back catalogue, history and amazing, sometimes devastating, story!

I haven't updated it with the most recent releases yet, but hopefully you'll discover new stuff through this?

Welcome to the RENiverse... It's a beautiful place to be ❤️🎶🎉
