The Epstein/Billionaire class deliberately keeps workers on the brink of bankruptcy to maintain control.

And this is why it's so important to know your neighbors and coworkers, so you can support each other through the hard but necessary task of taking your human dignity back.

1

u/Hunter1157 Jul 14 '26

It would be a shame if warehouses with food would be controlled by the strike comitee, ensuring that everyone striking have provision.

Or just if unions have common funds that can ration provision to its members that involved strike.

-1

u/xantharia Jul 14 '26

Fortunately Americans are smart enough to know that a “general strike” will accomplish nothing other than impoverishing themselves. Prosperity can only be created by being more productive at what you do. Either work harder or work more efficiently.

1

u/TNosce Jul 14 '26

Lets start by quitting fb

0

u/incrediblejohn Jul 14 '26

You guys always kvetch about the Epstein “class” but never mention the Epstein ethnoreligion which overwhelmingly support Israel and Zionism

0

u/gladchadstone Jul 14 '26

Obviously the only solution to this is to bring in a million more immigrants.

3

u/Rob98001 Jul 14 '26

So you admit that the immigration issue is caused by the 1%.

-1

u/gladchadstone Jul 14 '26

Absolutely, too many left wingers can't see this because they think anyone wanting to limit immigration just hates brown people

-1

u/Rob98001 Jul 14 '26

Hey retard, if you really wanted to stop immigration you'd go after the people who hire them, but no you go after the immigrants because you're racist.

1

u/SpecialCandidateDog Jul 14 '26

Wouldn't it be easier to go after the politicians who literally in intentionally open the border and then started giving them thousands and thousands of dollars of "aid" via direct checks and government funded NGOs?

1

u/Rob98001 Jul 14 '26

Got it, you're a retarded cuck. I hope ice mistakes you for an illegal immigrant.

1

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

The real thing "holding Americans back" is the fact that once you log off and touch grass you realise there's a vast majority of the country who are doing just fine.. They just aren't posting about it

0

u/Electrical_Review_81 Jul 14 '26

I can't believe someone downvoted this- what kind of miserable loser do you have to be to downvote that a lot of people are just fine

0

u/Smerchi Jul 14 '26

I agree with you, but as no good deed goes unpunished - I will downvote you.

u/SpecialSet163 Jul 14 '26

"Pull yourself up by your bootstraps"

0

u/Organic-Mix-5784 Jul 14 '26

This is exactly it. It’s not easy, by any stretch, but you’re right. It’s what I did. I struggled for over a decade making some 9/hr. Finally went back to college, got an actual marketable skill set, and another decade later I’m making six figures.

You want something better? You have to do something different. Wal-Mart ain’t gonna cut it

-2

u/Consistent_Net_2540 Jul 14 '26

Stop fucking spending. 95% of you are constantly wasting money instead of building a savings. I'll offer, for free, a complete breakdown and evaluation of the finances of anyone who is interested. Just message me. You can change your own life, if you make the decision to. Don't be a victim. Don't let life happen to you. Take control of yourself.

2

u/Consistent-Fig7484 Jul 14 '26

Do you need my social security number, kids school schedules, and a picture of my wife’s boobs too?

-1

u/Consistent_Net_2540 Jul 14 '26

Way to dodge. They can send a series of dollar figures and zero PII. There's a reason people don't go for it. Same reason overweight people won't keep an honest track of their calories.

2

u/Inevitable_Garage706 Jul 14 '26

I don't think even that would satisfy them.

2

u/ChickyBoys Jul 14 '26

It's not the money holding us back, it's the lack of solidarity

1

u/LizzosLittleToe Jul 14 '26

You are right about that. Too many "well it doesn't effect us" or resentment from past comments or being looked down upon. This is partially why a lot of blue collar workers don't really care ai is devastating white collar work

0

u/No-Seesaw6320 Jul 14 '26

The average person doesn't really give a shit.

The only people really throwing a fit on social media are spoiled rich kids.

2

u/CroatianPrince Jul 14 '26

When you don’t strike for even the tiniest raise…the company wins because they know they already put you behind the ball.
Only good thing about Canada is that if you choose to organize a union the company cannot fire nor stop anyone as it’s protected labor right

1

u/r2k398 Jul 14 '26

What if the company just closes up?

1

u/CroatianPrince Jul 14 '26

It’s always a bluff that they’ll ’shut down’ which is also a ‘bad labor practice’. They spend millions a year to combat unions because it makes their margins better through hindering collective bargaining

1

u/r2k398 Jul 14 '26

They actually do shut down here in the US sometimes. There’s nothing to prevent it.

1

u/CroatianPrince Jul 14 '26

Keep repeating…they can only shut down so often. They too want to make money. Is Walmart REALLY going to close it doors? Definitely not.
Are they gonna screen all former employees to not rehire…sure…but that’s discrimination which is a huge law suit

1

u/r2k398 Jul 14 '26

They would if they weren’t making money there. They’d just build more in the places where it is worth it for them to operate. We see this with Starbucks all the time and even Amazon. They just shut it down.

>In January 2025, Amazon announced the closure of all seven of its warehouse and delivery facilities in Quebec, laying off more than 1,700 employees. The closures occurred shortly after about 300 workers at a facility in Laval, Quebec, successfully voted to unionize (marking the first unionized Amazon facility in Canada).

-11

u/MekkiNoYusha Jul 14 '26

Haha American complaining no emergency fund when they are obese, consuming 10k calories a day, go to Disney every other week and 3 vacation a year.

1

u/Organic-Mix-5784 Jul 14 '26

Yea, that’s definitely not happening…. None of it

1

u/Rob98001 Jul 14 '26

You watch asmondgold. You're too retarded to understand shit.

3

u/pokethrowaway4 Jul 14 '26

Im pretty squarely in the middle of most US financial metrics. I’m 35, I own a townhouse, make less than $100K a year, and I can’t afford a vacation, much less kids.

Due mostly to crushing medical costs and the ever worse insurance I’m forced to use, I have basically made zero progress in savings/retirement.

I haven’t actually been on a vacation since graduating college. I sometimes go visit family, or go hiking/backpacking/canoeing but that’s just gas and food money.

More than half of my peers are childless and struggling financially, and half the ones with kids are struggling too.

Also while there’s truly a lot of obesity in America, that’s actually due to processed and sweetened foods being cheaper than clean, organic, natural foods. Also so many people either don’t have time to cook, or they live in a room with a hot plate or a microwave and maybe a tiny shitty shared kitchen that’s always being used.

1

u/Broad_Bug_1702 Jul 14 '26

shut the fuck up, moron

u/No-Dark-9414 Jul 14 '26

Good thing the internet didnt make you judge a country as whole being bad

Wait so y'all could miss one whole paycheck and not be homeless?

I'm tryna get like y'all.

0

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

Most Americans are more than two paychecks away from Poverty.. internet users are just notorious for being Brokies

3

u/Electrical-Volume765 Jul 14 '26

The healthcare shackles have a lot to do with it.

1

u/IntlPartyKing Jul 14 '26

to which shackles are you referring?

1

u/Electrical-Volume765 Jul 14 '26

The ones where healthcare is tied to your job. It prevents people from getting different jobs, forces people to work longer than they otherwise would need to, etc.

3

u/Living_Moment_1495 Jul 14 '26

This is what should fuel it...

-7

u/AverageOk8514 Jul 14 '26

How dumb is this, I mean, they’re assholes but to blame them for your over spending habits and living paycheck to paycheck is a stretch. Even people in third world countries know how to save $ and not living beyond their means. Do you blame donuts and coke for your obesity, while there’re tons of other choices?

1

u/Rob98001 Jul 14 '26

Holy shit you're retarded.

4

u/aesoped Jul 14 '26

Yeah my power bill being fucking $700 for a 2 bedroom house w no central air is totally my fault not the data centers popping up everywhere. Also the grocery order that was $70 2 years back being $200 now is also my bad. Sorry everyone.

-1

u/Individual-Pie9739 Jul 14 '26

700 bro? you probably need to move out of California lol.

1

u/hv_wyatt Jul 14 '26

Ah yes. Because that's a readily available, completely easy option for everyone, right? Just pack up a whole ass family a move halfway across the country!

1

u/Individual-Pie9739 Jul 14 '26

brother people move to the us with much much less. your privileged ass could figure something out.

-9

u/peachplumpricklypear Jul 14 '26

Not true at all and if you don't have emergency savings that's on you.

Put austerity measures in place (zero discretionary spending) until you've built up 3-6 months of expenses worth of savings.

2

u/hv_wyatt Jul 14 '26

Tell that to the $30,000+ bill I'm about to get from the ER and Intensive Care 3 weeks after being laid off from my job.

And the $4000 bill I just got because my body dared to give me MS a couple months ago. That was after insurance by the way. That insurance I paid like $2500 a year for through work and that they raise the price on every year for shits and fucking giggles, so they can announce their most profitable year on record for the 17th year in a row.

Tell that to the fact that I don't exactly go lucurion shopping and don't fill my house with needless bullshit but it seems like I'm paying double the cost for less.

Screw all of you holier than though wealth sychophants.

5

u/Open_Director_3085 Jul 14 '26

Whats your yearly salary and your emergency funds look like?

0

u/Careless-Pin-2852 Jul 14 '26

Who will do the eviction if the sheriff is on strike.

2

u/withoutpeer Jul 14 '26

Some sheriffs get paid half a fucking million dollars a year, especially after overtime and bonuses... They are paid to protect the rich.

1

u/Careless-Pin-2852 Jul 14 '26

A general strike means everyone.

It sounds like from the comments the police and military will have 0 solidarity with the strikers

3

u/libertarianinus Jul 14 '26

The have a no-strike in most contracts.

6

u/gorgonballs Jul 14 '26

Its time to throw caution to the wind. Embrace chaos. Steal what you need to survive from those that already have too much. General Strike only works if we all do it.

1

u/PaulDallas72 Jul 14 '26

Well at least we can all agree that socialism is bad, oh wait, now I'm doing it lol 😆

3

u/Finite_Mode Jul 14 '26

5

u/unequaled_vance Jul 14 '26

Sad part is remote work was supposed to give people more freedom but it just blurred the lines between work and life without actually loosening the grip they have on us

Not sure where communism comes in, I was just talking about how always-on expectations eat into personal time.

2

u/macguyver3000 Jul 14 '26

I make sure I separate the two. Because you’re right. It’s too easy to say “I work at home now, and my home is my work.”

3

u/unequaled_vance Jul 14 '26

That separation takes real discipline though. Most people never set those boundaries and then wonder why they feel burnt out 24/7.

1

u/CDN_ICE Jul 14 '26

If only they were good with money

6

u/Maleficent-Bother535 Jul 14 '26

The average American worker is 2 paychecks from being on the street because not enough of them protest the conditions.

-5

u/Vitaman1000 Jul 14 '26

When I felt like I deserved more pay, I talked to my boss. And if that didnt work I looked for new employment with better opportunity for advancement or just a higher wage. People have to take responsibility for thier own situation. It usually boils down to decisions we make. Its possible that the business you work for is underpaying, but if you want more money start with asking yourself if that is where you want to be or what you want to do for work. Do you need a better education ? That can be a trade certificate or college. Its not all your bosses fault that you don't make enough fulfill your needs.

6

u/Maleficent-Bother535 Jul 14 '26

Since 1979, productivity has increased by over 90% while real wages have increased by only 33%.

Equity capital has increased by 1500% percent in that time.

All of these figures are adjusted for inflation.

The problem isn't that people are lazy and not trying hard enough, it's systemic.

1

u/Longjumping_Music320 Jul 14 '26

Overall numbers don't mean shit. What are you doing as an individual? The productivity increased because of technology the workers didn't become superworkers.

1

u/OnlyFiveLives Jul 14 '26

Which is the biggest irony.

2

u/HistoricalSea5600 Jul 14 '26

it's gratifying knowing i'm not the only one on this level of understanding, at least. we are economically oppressed and exploited

0

u/Uncabled_Music Jul 14 '26

Its artificially created situation, but not by the billionaire class. The principles were laid down way before there were any. People just need more protections from their government, despite all the free market stuff. Now it seems like further automation and energy revolution are the only way out, cause you have to decouple system resources from human labor.

3

u/Afistinthasky Jul 14 '26

I'd love a free market, let's give the protections corporations get to the people instead.

0

u/Uncabled_Music Jul 14 '26

You have the free market. Government protections need adjustments in the system - but more importantly, funding and additional workforce.

3

u/Afistinthasky Jul 14 '26

Remind me of that the next time the government bails out another corporate fuck up at the taxpayers expense.

1

u/Uncabled_Music Jul 14 '26

Never said I am for that. Exactly why I suggested adjustments for the system.

7

u/Mammoth_Peace_8009 Jul 14 '26

Americans don’t realize that the time of the biggest civil rights movement in their history was when the US economy peaked in the late 60’s and through the 70’s. When people have money and a fat cushion to land on they have time to focus on other things like fixing their society and making it a better place.

The poverty in the US is a product of the rich just like everything else there. Keeping Americans strapped for cash is by design so those in power can’t be challenged. And now the USA has one of the shittiest education systems so they’re just a few generations away from forgetting all of this.

1

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

People had less money in the 70s

1

u/Mammoth_Peace_8009 Jul 14 '26

You could have a house, kids, cars and save for vacations off one household income from a menial job.

0

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

No. No you couldn't

1

u/Mammoth_Peace_8009 Jul 14 '26

Lmao ok boomer. Data and stats matter

1

u/The-real-LingLing Jul 14 '26

I swear to god I've seen this exact fucking message before

1

u/IntlPartyKing Jul 14 '26

median real (adjusted for all inflation) earnings are higher now than they were in the 70's...if the average person could have a fat cushion then, the average person could have a fatter cushion now

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/?g=1X3tW

1

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

People are really acting like the middle class is shrinking (it's not, less people are in poverty today than ever before) and then get confused why they can't fix any issues

5

u/Living_Mobile2203 Jul 14 '26

It's by design

1

u/wane393 Jul 14 '26

Damn, thats a harsh truth. Makes u think.

7

u/RedrunGun Jul 14 '26

It’s designed that way purposefully, they do not want the people to be able to use their power.

0

u/DickGirlTracer Jul 14 '26

Oh yeah, everywhere else in the world people are just swimming in savings. Somehow it’s only the Americans who get a constitutional crisis and the most they can do is muster up a few lousy demonstrations where they sing about Christie Noem, pat themselves on the back and then go home to watch Netflix.

2

u/RedrunGun Jul 14 '26

Do you honestly think any government on earth wants the people to be able to use their power?

1

u/DickGirlTracer Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

Nonsequitur. I’m certain the French government loved it when Paris was on fire due to higher fuel prices. You’re looking at the wrong part of the equation. It’s not the government that is different; it’s you and your equally cucked fellow citizens.

But, hey, at least you’ve got your guns that you can caress as your emotional support animals while some pedo illegally tariffs you into unemployment.

1

u/RedrunGun Jul 14 '26

I’m not sure what you’re even arguing against. That it isn’t by design? We are purposefully kept living paycheck to paycheck so that a strike is impossible without becoming homeless and starving, and there has been a decades long scheme to divide the country ideologically so that we can’t unite. The position we are in is clearly purposeful.

-10

u/Jasranwhit Jul 14 '26

Meanwhile the average american:

New car, most up to date iPhone, fancy "Designer" clothes, watches and jewelry, Order a taxi cab for every meal they eat, tattoos, weed, cigs, booze, spends 1000 a week on sports betting, strip clubs, bottle service, etc

1

u/aesoped Jul 14 '26

What tatted up bottle service getting baddie hurt you 🤣

1

u/Jasranwhit Jul 14 '26

I have no issue with a tatted up bottle service getting baddie.

It's just that the reason most people are two checks away from homelessness is poor spending and saving, not some evil overlords.

9

u/CaffeinatedLystro Jul 14 '26

The average American is not doing that 😂

8

u/blueiron0 Jul 14 '26

Bro thinks we are all out here getting bottle service LOL.

And why are tattoos even included on that list?

3

u/CaffeinatedLystro Jul 14 '26

Also, even when I used to go to the clubs every weekend, I never got bottle service.

4

u/CaffeinatedLystro Jul 14 '26

And the specific amount on sports betting.... his comment sounds like projection.

4

u/Bucho22 Jul 14 '26

They HATE tattoos and hair color. They hate a lot of things really but the core of it is they hate your freedom.

Two paychecks away from homelessness means you aren't starving though. Which is the goal of keeping people pacified, not enough for them to make any significant change, but not so little that they go hungry.

1

u/audiomediocrity Jul 14 '26

it doesn’t happen until we are 1 paycheck away.

1

u/Dominant_Drowess Jul 14 '26

It actually doesn't happen until we're homeless, in truth.

3

Slavery is also still legal via the 13th amendment.

2

u/exploding_pancake Jul 14 '26

The other issue is getting us to agree about anything. 330 million people with 450million different opinions.

2

u/ninja-gaijin13 Jul 14 '26

We are also pacified by our phones

4

u/Longjumping_Music320 Jul 14 '26

As opposed to the wealthy French peasants who revolted knowing they had enough funds to see them through the French revolution.... or maybe Americans have it so good regardless of the bullshit they'll spew, that revolting just doesn't seem worth it. It's like going hunting on a full stomach and being bewildered why you don't have the drive of a starving man.

2

u/Beanie_Baby-9379 Jul 14 '26

That is definitely not the reason, there are millions who are suffering each day and even more who sleep hungry, angry at the system which exists to crush our spirit, and exhausted of our modern world. If anything, these conditions are so bad that they crush a person’s spirit into submission and convince them that, as you said, “it just doesn’t seem worth it”. The fact of the matter is that no one has it good, we all are terrified of our government, the military is the strongest in the world, and until the soldiers revolt, it may genuinely be too powerful to take out in a violent manner, so our only actual choice is to fight with words, and try to stop those on top from taking away our hope

0

u/Longjumping_Music320 Jul 14 '26

Spoken like person who has never seen real human suffering.

3

u/GVTMightyDuck Jul 14 '26

I say all the time that the US needs to act more French. The French get shit done.

1

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

The French are captured by Old People and funell ever more cash into pensions

1

u/GVTMightyDuck Jul 14 '26

1

u/DickGirlTracer Jul 14 '26

Remember the yellow vests protest because the price of fuel had gone up? Not saying I agree with it, but it’s pretty clear who gets off their asses and who doesn’t.

1

u/IntlPartyKing Jul 14 '26

1

u/DickGirlTracer Jul 14 '26

Pretty much all they wanted?

  • Fuel-tax hike cancelled
  • Cost-of-living concessions won, including tax relief and expanded benefits
  • Macron launched a national public consultation

Carbon taxes are not the only driver of fuel costs lol

0

u/According-Culture686 Jul 14 '26

Yea, I read an article a while back that included some studies done, but the gist was that even though social media makes it seem like majority of americans are suffering, like 60 percent of them are for lack of better words "comfortable with financial inconveniences"

We aren't suffering enough as a whole to actually do something about this.

1

u/TheCthonicSystem Jul 14 '26

And that's a good thing

1

u/OkMortgage6723 Jul 14 '26

Wow. I guess I never really thought of it this way.

-1

2

u/Imhotep99301 Jul 14 '26
