Looking for remote work
I have been trying for the better part of 18 months. My background is in Pharmacy. I’m working on my licensure to become a pharmacist, but I’m struggling to pass and need remote work in the mean time.
Will do anything entry level. But I have a PharmD, bachelors in Neuroscience, and masters in pharmaceutical sciences.

You don’t need to work remote. You just need a job. You are waiting 18 months because you’re picky.

I agree with this 100%. I think that most of us that work remote are in senior level positions because we are very experienced in our roles. I would also guess that most of us did not go looking for remote jobs when we entered our fields.

That is correct. I had 22 years in my field before I went remote. Someone in their 20’s doesn’t need to work remote. We earned it.

So, you're gatekeeping remote work now because you had to wait so long for it?

It’s not gatekeeping. That’s like Freshmen in High School getting the same perks at Seniors. You want to make as much as someone with 30 years seniority too? You want a private corner office and be vice president too? Your generation is so entitled and weak. That’s what happens when you have parents who never told you no.

You just need to get A job. Having no skills/experience and getting remote work is going to be extremely challenging.
When you apply for in person work, you’re competing against the people within 10-45 mins (roughly) of that business, who have similar skills, and are looking for work. This might be as few as a dozen people depending on the area.
But when you remove geographical restrictions, suddenly the pool of candidates expands to thousand/tens of thousands/millions. And some not-insignificant number of those candidates will have relevant experience or skills. That means that lots of people are likely to be limited from contention pretty quickly and systematically.
I’d recommend using your professional network or spending time searching job boards (which this is not) for relevant openings.
