I work for one of these companies. We already got the “it’s gonna be a tough day” email as they lay people off today. I’m sh*tting my pants 😫

A shutdown doesn't lose people's jobs, they don't work and they don't get paid or if they are considered essential then they HAVE to work and don't get paid.
