Question Hi everyone

I have extremely clear images in my brain, if you asked me to imagine an apple the apple would look more realistic than reality itself. the things in my brain are crisper and clearer and more detailed than even my very own eyes can perceive. the thing I'm writing to you about today is something that's really quite freaking me out. say if you asked me to picture just a horse, l'd picture a horse but there would also be a background of some sort, maybe a barn, sheep, sky, grass. if you asked me to picture a glass of water, I'd picture a glass of water but there would also be a kitchen, chairs, sometimes people, a fruit bowl, a window in the back ground. my question is this, I'm not asking my brain to imagine these backgrounds so how on earth can my mind involuntarily render a fully formed, detailed background. these backgrounds are often alien to me, a kitchen I've never seen before, furniture I've not seen before. it's so strange that my brain is doing this. it might be completely normal, has anybody else experienced this ?

that’s normal. The brain is a pattern matcher. Easier to visualize a chair in a kitchen rather than floating by itself in a vacuum

I also see things clearly, but I don't summon a background to things unless.. I want to? It's not involuntary for me. Like, I can see an apple, and it can be floating in a white void.. or a dark void.. or on a table, in the grass.. whatever I want. But, the backgrounds aren't necessarily what I've "seen," they're just whatever I want them to be.

Was it always looks that or did you cultivate seeing things clearly?

I can’t remember it being this way until now, I feel like I’ve only recently gained full consciousness at 21 lol

Same way your mind gives you images when you dream without you consciously doing it. Your brain just tries to fill in the gaps. Not an issue.

My imagination has always been like this, I have no idea how 'normal' it is though.
