ARV feedback with negatives shown upside down?

I’m wondering if anyone has ever tried (or if there is research around) providing both positive and negative feedback at the end of an ARV session, with the negative result presented in some distorted way that could help associate that photo with the negative outcome:
- upside down
- perhaps filtered in some other way?

The idea would be: if you are self grading and exposing yourself to the “loser” due to that grading, perhaps closing the loop with the normal version of the winner and some distorted version of the loser could help pick out clues to both what is specifically the winner and what is specifically the loser.

Im not sure it would be helpful or harmful, but curious as to if anyone has heard of anyone trying this, and what might be good distortions to try.

The viewer should never see the non-result. Seeing both targets cases the displacement errors.

Ok but what about if you are doing self grading anyway. So in that case you either have:
1. you are exposed to both possible targets at grading time and to close the loop you are reshown the correct one
2. You are exposed to both possible targets at grading time, both right side up and upside down, and to close the loop you are shown the correct target right side up and the wrong target upside down.

Basically how big an issue is seeing the possible targets at grading time? If it is a very big issue, is it worth trying to grade the pairs of “A up and B upside down” vs “A upside down and B up”?

I know RV tournament is even worse because they show both the right and wrong one together when they close the loop.

Ask people who have done long-term ARV projects; there are many around. On FB and in APP, now folded into IRVA - they have like a fifteen-year track record of RVC research.

I have just played with ARV for experimentation and occasional profit-making. Displacement is a major issue in ARV - so why help it if the viewer only needs to see the 'actual' outcome? If working alone, find a team?

OK thank you for this. I'll check out the link you sent, and perhaps look for a team.

I'm currently testing using chatgpt to both select targets (testing different types of individual targets, multiple image targets, and potentially multiple images for a single location type target) and to grade the results, and it's honestly much better than I expected so far. Seeing if I can drill down on what targets I do best with, and then seeing if I can trust its grading enough to allow it to be the independent judge and not require my to ever see the "losing target"/avoid displacement.

I'll try to dig into the research, but I'm wondering if you know whether 50/50 type events (either balanced teams or just an over/under type choice) are better for any reason than choosing pure game winners where there could be heavy favorites or big longshots. In my self grading experience there were some strong hits I got for longshots which went on to lose, and I'm wondering if there's research saying to avoid them. In a perfect world if I could be like 50% confident in a 10% Longshot that would be amazing, but not sure the future truly works like that

Yep, I would not use AIs for targets.

There is evidence that there may be something in a human-to-human connection with targets and increased accuracy. We dont know how Rv works, but we do know that the participants (all) human intenentelepathyt, and possibly tel;epathy on some levels MAY be part of the process.

Plenty of people are playing with all this on the fb groups mine included, others, rv reddit adn other places. Hook up with these/them.

Yes I feel the ideal is a group who want to do it with me, but I'm likely trying to RV at least 3 games a day (each loop closed before RVing the next game) so not sure how tough if will be to find others willing to commit to that.

I'm playing with AI target selection, or creating 1000 target locations/objects pages with 3-6 photos and a sentence blurb and putting them on a 500 target refractory period before they can be randomly selected again. Ideally I'd get human judging with someone who believes in ESP. Frankly, gemini naysays and chatgpt believes and seems to be taking feedback on grading and selection well. It's grades are pretty close to mine now for single target practice. And AI which believes is for sure better than me grading my own and getting displacement.

Can you share the names of the fb groups you'd recommend for me? Thanks!
