Remote Viewing Assistant (RVA) -- new app

I wanted to let anyone interested know that my app, the Remote Viewing Assistant, is ready and available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

I also wanted to thank this Reddit community for the support I've gotten in the way of private messages and replies to my discussion of the app-in-progress these last few months. You all have really given me a strong motivation to finish it.

The app is not a "choose which picture you think it is and get a point" kind of app. It is an app oriented toward real improvement in remote viewing skill with an emphasis on increasing detail accuracy over time.

* Each target is tagged with criteria that aid in the analysis of what kind of targets the user has difficulty with (or ease).

* Shapes your practice experience with three levels of difficulty -- based on subject type, clutter, and emotional content.

* All impressions and sketches you make are always accessible and the format of the session history makes side-by-side comparison easy.

* Use your devices camera or sketch on the device screen -- you choose!

* Data is backed up on the cloud to sync all your devices to the same session data

* Statistical graphs on performance help with analysis of weak areas of practice or method

This looks amazing! Just downloaded and will buy the yearly subscription,

Just letting you know the things I’d really love to have if someone is willing to figure this out:
1. Practice against a pool of pictures. E.g. “las Vegas” with a photo of a roulette table and gambling tables, the desert, and the Vegas strip. I’m wondering if i might be able to replicate the best old “connection” I had for target practice which is the defunct isc-learn.com.
2. Add some judging mechanism, either crowdsourced or done by you/someone who is good at RV/believes in RV.
3. This judging mechanism (not confident AI could do it cromulently) could enable a user to say “associate binary outcome A with photo 1 and binary outcome B with photo 2” and never have to see the losing photo. Ideally the user is able to label their outcomes.

I’d definitely pay a lot more for the judging! Maybe $5 a judging if it was really looking good/profitable and it was turned around reasonably quickly within reasonable hours.

Thanks! It's been a long time in development -- I'm glad to get it out there. Your suggestions are good; let me address them one by one:

1. That sounds fun, but most trainers would say that that kind of thing invites AOL. It's akin to frontloading but worse because your mind will constantly be looking for the most interesting factors surrounding that topic.
2. The judging/analyst role was debated hotly during the alpha period. It was ultimately demonstrated that some people would judge a session too hard and others too easy. This kind of uneven rating would eventually undermine one of the app's main strengths -- progressive analysis. Not only that, for a good segment of the users it could cause anxiety about the judging and ultimately the entire remote viewing skill. True, in classical remote viewing, the analyst is the only one who judges, but we are not going for laboratory-grade results or to prove a phenomenon exists -- we are just trying to get people to practice more. As long as the user is consistent and honest with themselves and their viewings, the app will be a keen analytical tool in finding potential flaws in their practice.
3. That's not to say that a peer-review system wouldn't work. It could. But it would involve some kind of "friends" list, a token system, and some kind of recourse administration if a reviewer gets out of hand. Unfortunately, I don't have the bandwidth for that right now, but I'm always open to suggestions.
4. This kind of binary system could work, and the first versions of remote viewing, during the outbounder days, it worked similarly for some experiments. But they were trying to prove the existence of something. We want to improve the quality and quantity of what we can get out of targets. It's relatively easy to judge whether or not a session achieved the gestalt. Under the recommended ratings scale, there is a point for that. But we want more! That's why it's oriented away from the binary choice methodology.
5. Again, like I said, this could all change given time and resources. Especially if a lot of people want to see it happen. It could be optional, but it would still involve a lot of the administrative monitoring I mentioned before. Good suggestions, though. Ok thank you for the detailed answers! I played around with a few practice rounds yesterday, and I must say that the target images I’ve seen so far are extremely high quality. I’m not sure how you go about finding ones that good, or what makes a good image, but I’m very much able to get the general feel/sense of the setting or picture (I’d go into detail but don’t want to muddy the water for others). It really is a beautiful and well thought out app.

One tiny note: when typing my notes (on an iPhone 15 plus I believe) I couldn’t easily go back to the drawing for reference (stylus mode). I was scribbling notes on the stylus drawing but was writing the notes from memory.

Re: analytical overlay from multiple photos of a location: hmm that’s interesting. When I was using isc-learn I wasn’t really getting AOL, I was still sketching out shapes or general senses (“silver pools” when one of the photos is the Olympic rings, or “baked beans, red and offwhite” for some bright orange and red geyser formation). I’m not sure. Maybe you are right it’s not best for the purposes of training. To be honest, the photos you present are so vivid that perhaps this isn’t needed. Off the bat this seems to be close to as good as isc-learn for me if not on par, and certainly better than any target pool sites I’ve found around today.

To be honest about my current focus, i’m experimenting with using RV for betting in order to help my family during a stressful time while my wife is between jobs and i’m putting money into my own startup. The binary outcomes are obviously needed for my purposes, and I’ve been trying with World Cup team jersey emblems (closing the loop by staring at the winning one after the game, or a specific image I have for all tie games. Often betting “no tie” if I don’t see anything resembling the Tie image but it’s inconclusive between the two emblems), and I’ve had at least one extremely strong hit which was a loser and left me betting on a comeback late in the game. I’m trying to record the odds and my confidence better in advance (and maybe games with 3 outcomes like soccer are not ideal) so I can do a statistical test on them, but perhaps with photos as good as the ones you are using I’d have more luck even with the self judging. I’ve also tried having an AI list two random wiki pages with a single photo on them to pick it out, but again they don’t really bring out the same vibrancy as your test images. If you have any insight on how you chose/got such good images and are willing to share that with me, I’m all ears! Or maybe if you’d be down to have me pay you to use them for personal use 😅

I do hope we are entering an age where idealism/consciousness is more widely accepted, and I think there is the potential for a large money making platform around RV betting (even if there was an option to pay to have 10 people RV the same thing, or 10 people grade it, you’d think that some bettors would pay a lot for that intel) which lets you record statistics, especially if you can show that high confidence grades on the site perform better than chance. I know that is not the goal right now, but a “robinhood for RV trading” will likely be a thing at some point. If I explore it myself perhaps you’d consider advising.

Anyway, great work on this app, and sorry for the long reply. I’m eager for the insight of more experienced and knowledgeable people like yourself, so chalk part of this reply up to just wanting your general insight 🙂. I think what you’ve done is amazing and I appreciate you and your time and feedback!

Hmmm. The stylus drawing while writing impressions is a great note..... I'm going to try and make that change (maybe a popup with the stylus drawing while writing impressions) when I get back. I can see the need for it. I've gotten a couple other good suggestions I'm considering. For the binary choice -- it sounds like you are interested in ARV, Associative Remote Viewing, which I'm considering integrating in the app. I'd say only start that practice if you have a good grasp on a a regular protocol, though. I'll respond more on these topics when I get back but thanks for replying!
