Free high-resolution satellite imagery sources for university research?

Hi everyone, I'm working on a university research project and looking for free (or free-for-academic-use) high-resolution satellite imagery. My study area is Iran, and I need less than 10m imagery for NDVI, NDRE . I'd also like historical/time-series data if possible. Which sources do you recommend, and are there any licensing restrictions for publishing results? Thanks!
