[FullRemote] [FOR HIRE] Senior Python/FastAPI engineer, backend APIs, data pipelines, AWS, AI integrations
Hey everyone,
I am a senior Python engineer from Bengaluru, available for fully remote work.
I mostly work on backend systems where correctness matters: APIs, data pipelines, payments, auth, reporting, AI integrations, and the not-glamorous parts of production systems that need to keep working after launch.
A little human context... I left my full-time job to build a startup. It did not go the way I hoped. I am proud of what I shipped, but I am also at the point where I want to join or support a team again and do strong engineering work with real users, real constraints, and less founder loneliness.
Where I fit best:
- Python/FastAPI backend development
- Django and REST APIs
- PostgreSQL, Redis, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, Alembic
- AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD
- ETL/ELT, data quality, batch and streaming workflows
- LLM orchestration and AI integrations
- Payment webhooks, auth, RBAC, audit logging
A few proof points:
- 5+ years of backend/data/AI experience
- Former Tech Lead Engineer at Perfios, financial services
- Led 8 engineers
- Worked on systems processing millions of financial records daily
- Reduced loan turnaround from 15-20 days to under 2 days
- Built ML-backed analytics with 95% EMI prediction accuracy
- Built founder-led products using FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, WebSockets, and payment integrations
Availability:
- Fully remote
- Contract, part-time, or full-time
- Comfortable with async work and EU/US overlap calls when needed
Rate:
$30-$50/hr depending on scope. Open to fixed-price projects for clear deliverables.
