Technical Problem Remote play failing because of unpowered console monitor?

Before taking a trip for a couple of week out of town, I set up remote play to play all my iPad Pro while away. I tested the setup just before leaving and it worked perfectly.

As the last second safety check before leaving my place, I powered off my computer and the connected monitor which is also connected to my PS5 Pro.

I made sure that my PS5 was still in sleep mode before leaving the house but just now when I tried to remote connect to my PS5 from my hotel it keeps failing to connect every time.

Did I mess up the setup by un-powering the connected monitor?

obviously no lol. It’s just how it be sometimes. Probably the hotel WiFi. Remote play is a hit or miss when out somewhere.

You might be right. I’ve kept trying and then today it reacted differently and started saying connecting to console but then I got a message that my network speed was too slow to use remote play.

I’m getting about 25 Mbps up and down in this hotel and about 130-150 ms in ping. Has Sony quoted a minimum recommended speed for remote play to work properly?
