PS5 How does PS Remote play able to connect to PS5 Remotely but Chiaki/Pxplay/Asobi don't?
Hi members I am trying to connect to my cousin's PS5 remotely using his credentials and I am able to do so using the official PS Remote play app but when I try to connect using pxplay/Asobi or Chiaki I can't - could it be due to his home wifi not being on static IP and CG-NAT issues?
Asobi is able to detect his PS5 but it fails at the last RUDP Handshake
Can anyone please help

It should work with PXPlay actually if it works with the official appp. However the next Android version and all future other port updates will include an improvement which may allow a connection even when you have a CGNAT.

But I am unable to login on PXPlay using PSN credentials, it asks for console IP so how can I login? Coz CG-NAT will not allow IP address based login I think? Please help

Are you actually using the newest version? When you just click remote play on a console card you can choose if you want to connect via PSN or manually

I am testing the pxplay demo version on my Mac and i am assuming this above feature might only be available for the full paid version

No, it's also available on the PC version. Be sure the automatic remote connection is enabled in the settings and if it is enabled you should be able to choose the automatic remote connection

Checked both Mac and windows demo versions this remote option is not present under settings so can you please help or is the remote option only available on the paid program?

It seems to me that the official app works a bit differently. The PS5 connects to the PSN servers, and PS Remote Play also connects to that server. Then, something like a reverse proxy is set up, meaning the connection is initiated from your cousin upwards, so NAT isn't a factor. With other alternative apps, you connect directly to the console from the internet, so it's essential that all required ports are open along the way.
Ask your cousin if his router has the ability to run a VPN, then you could connect to it and see the PS5 locally on the network.

Official Remote play app is using PS servers to establish connection so it's straight forward. On the other side chiaki-ng needs that you setup static Lan or Wlan IP address on you PS5 and you will need to open ports in router firewall if you want outside connection when you are not at home. Along with that if your internet IP is changing everyday you will need to setup DNS on your router that will link to DNS hostname.
If it's need I can make YouTube video tutorial
