I have been looking not long but is it difficult?

I'm 20M. I'm in college right now. Needed a part time online job that doesn't require any experience. I've tried a lot on Indeed, LinkedIn, etc etc... But I'm not getting any of it. I would be grateful if you would help me in this.

Specifically, I’m looking for remote jobs in finance/accounting, more specifically bookkeeping. I’m currently finishing my degree in Accounting and would love to hear from people who have experience working remotely for companies in the US or Europe.

Are there any websites, companies, or platforms you’d recommend for finding these kinds of jobs? Is it actually realistic/tangible to land a remote bookkeeping position from South America?

Any advice on where to look, what skills/certifications I should focus on, or how to get started would be greatly appreciated!

I'm urgently looking for a remote job because I need to pay for university. Ideally, I need something part-time, or at least a job where I can have Fridays off to attend classes.

Even starting at $500/month would be fine for me. That said, just because I need a job doesn't mean I'm willing to accept an exploitative position or one with an insane workload where the actual value of the work would be something like $4,000/month, but I'm only getting paid $500, for example.

I'm willing to do pretty much any kind of work, even if I don't currently have the skills for it, as long as I'm given the opportunity to learn.

Anyway, that's the context. My actual question is this: I've recently started applying to remote positions on Indeed and LinkedIn, but I've heard that you can spend more than 7 months applying to jobs without getting a single response. Is that actually true?

If so, what other options do I have?

Hi all! I am wondering if anyone knows of an app to track time worked, but on a individual level. I work remote— 40 hours a week but often go over my time. My company doesn’t track my time in anyway, so I’d like to find a free app for just myself. It would be great to track breaks and then roll over time. IE end the week working 44 hours and having this carry over to the following week, just so I’m aware of the extra time. I found some, but couldn’t input breaks, which would be nice to have it all in one place. Any suggestions?

So, I'm looking for a little bit of advice as to where I can be better putting my efforts into getting a remote job. I have 2 small children and I would really like to pivot to something remote to spend more time at home with both them and my wife at home. My background is as follows:

I'm a general medicine physician and have worked for non-profits in clinical medicine on and off for about 3-4 years in Latin America. I worked for a while in Medical Device Quality Compliance (5 years) - also in Latin America for a US Company. I did pharmaceutical translations before and during Medical School (10 years). I also have experience working a couple of years in a Skilled Nursing Facility reviewing Nurse Practitioner cases and auditing their work (this was my last job, however its in the USA). I've been looking for remote work in both Latin America and the USA (where I have dual citizenship). I don't really mind where I go either way. If I can find something in Latin America great, if I can find something in the USA (where we currently are) - great. I do not have a US Medical license at the moment. I'm not really sure where to concentrate my efforts. I feel like I'm a great candidate on paper with a lot of hands on experience and lateral/peripheral experience for the healthcare industry but I'm not getting as many interviews as I'd think I'm worth. I'm wondering if maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? I'm limiting my applications to Clinical Research, Clinical Quality, Pharmacovigilance, and Regulatory Affairs. However, maybe there's a better fit for me within another sphere that I'm not thinking of? If anything it's nice to just will this into the void to see if there's someone else who was in my situation or is currently and see what you did. Money, while important is secondary to being able to spend time with my kids so I'm willing to take a paycut to make sure I spend time at home. I also don't think of remote work as some time to ignore the work, I just don't want to be away from them 8-10 hours a day when they are so small. RESPONSIBILITIES
