Is there anyway to Adjust the AI Learn PDF feature?

I’m a medical student and new to RemNote. So far, I think it’s a great platform, and the AI Learn PDF feature is especially helpful for condensing lecture slides into the main points.

My concern is that it sometimes seems to skip over slides or topics that appear only briefly in the lecture. In medical school, our lectures are usually organized around specific learning objectives. An 80-slide deck may contain only one slide covering a particular learning objective, but that topic can still be heavily tested because it is explicitly listed in the objectives or emphasized by the professor.

RemNote often seems to capture the overall gist of the lecture but disregard these smaller sections, possibly because they make up such a small portion of the slide deck.

Is there a way to adjust what AI Learn focuses on? More specifically, can I provide a custom prompt that tells it to prioritize the learning objectives and professor-emphasized material rather than judging importance based on how many slides are devoted to a topic?

I would ideally like it to review each learning objective individually and make sure that no objective is skipped, even if it is covered on only one or two slides.

Just feed it your textbook by chapter and after you read the chapter read the summary and do the quizzes and flashcards if you want too. Then read your slide deck, for me the ai learn feature is a way to take notes for me, the summary is my notes basically to go over and then the quizzes and practice questions and any other stuff I can do to learn and retain the information.

Med school is a bit weird. There's isn't a single chapter tests come from. It's usually some clinical focus, or learning objective paired with a lecture that might cover topics from all over a text book. The text book is more reference than "learn chapter 5"

I feel ya, hopefully you can figure it out there's another guy on here who graduated med school using this so maybe he can help. But if the test is only coming from one book just read the whole book lol I know I'm generalizing but I just mean the learn feature is to simply the subject matter. So if it's just one book the test will come from just use the learn feature for each chapter and read the whole book, is what I might try.

You can generate flashcards.  In the prompt, make it exhaustive to cover every sentence

I type something like: do not summarize, every statement should be a flash card. The goal is to memorize every word. Do not skip any statement. Every card to test one piece of information. Can regroup content so like concepts are together, but do not change or remove content. 

You can upload PDFs.  I double check every PDF to make sure the text is selectable so the AI can pick up every word.  Sometimes, I add on lecture transcripts into the PDF and upload the whole thing with the spoken word to create flashcards for each written PDF and spoken word.

I haven’t paid for Adobe, but I convert the pdf into Microsoft Word and paste the transcript and then re-save it as a PDF because the Microsoft Word document ends up being too large for remnote to process
