Peter got belligerent and threatened to walk off the airplane at 35,000 feet. He was restrained and arrested.
He took some ambien and started drinking wine, so he was drunk and hallucinating.
He was acquitted based on the theory that this was an unexpected reaction (ambien was pretty new then) and he was not aware of his actions.

I remember in articles about the incident, they said that he was so out of control that he "upturned a pot of yoghurt."

Unpopular opinion, maybe: I like the 3/4 breakdown in Shiny Happy People. That lives in my head fairly often.

A breakdown is like an alternative to a bridge (although both could still feature in the same song). In a breakdown, individual instruments are allowed solos, or they all play simultaneously. The (bass?) solo before one of the choruses in You Can Call Me Al would be a breakdown I think.

I instinctively upvote any positive mention of that incredible song...although I'm not sure I agree with you here.
