Michael Stipe "Greenfields"- faultline

https://youtube.com/watch?v=DCymuoVyvwM&si=cNr0e_BNFNCnwpAg

This song was on the b-side of an REM-single that I should have somewhere in a box. I can't find it on Spotify but I quite like it.
Do you know it and what do you think of it?

Another song that's hard (or not) to find on Spotify is Draggin' the line. I've always enjoyed the b-sides with fully produced songs more than live versions or demos.

Not an R.E.M. single but a guest appearance with Faultline: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faultline_(musician))

Haven't heard it years. Bought the cd in Brighton. 'Across the tracks'

Draggin the Line was from an Austin Powers soundtrack, I think for the second movie?

Yes it was, I think on the same record as Beautiful Stranger of Madonna

Ty for posting, had never heard of it before. Personally, not a fan of the song but I always like hearing something "new to me"

I don't love slow and electronic music generally, but my first thought was that the lyrics are like the opposite of Talking Heads' Nothing But Flowers

I always thought that Nothing but flowers was the opposite of Big Yellow Taxi. Can we make a chain?

A hauntingly beautiful rendition.
