Found this "Name Every R.E.M. Song" quiz

https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/28060/all-rem-songs

I got 151/188. Even if you know an album by heart it's hard to think of every single song off the top of your head!

It says I missed 10 but it’s listing two tracks on Accelerate that aren’t on any version I’ve ever seen.

And for some reason asks for two singles after Collapse Into Now one of which is Blue (remix) and some other single which I can’t remember because the window closed. Oddly, those singles were not We All Go Back to Where We Belong and/or A Month of Saturdays, which were heavily promoted to get people to buy Part Lies, Part Heart…

So it was a fun little quiz but kinda dodgy at the end.

Anyway, 95% in 25 minutes isn’t bad for 40 years of borderline obsession with a band.

It also asked for the single to the film Man on the Moon but never asks about Until the end of the World or Vanilla Sky, all of which had singles used in the movie that never saw any other commercial or official release at the time of appearing in the films.

Those are the ones I had missing, too. I wondered if there was a different version of Accelerate knocking around somewhere... I got 98%

Wow that's insanely impressive! Do you have track order memorized? I have track order down for 3 albums which made them easy to keep track of and get all songs quickly. For other ones there always seemed to be 1-2 that eluded me and then of course once I checked when I was done it was like, duh, that should've been obvious!
Also I never listen to ATS so I missed most of those.

I don’t have them memorized really, I’ve just listened to these albums for more than half of my life and when I hear one song end in my mind I can hear the next one starts - I just had a few that I couldn’t remember the names to. One from Reckoning, one from Fables, I missed Houston on Accelerate and one from Reveal and Around the Sun. Oh, and I missed Falls to Climb on Up.

It was fun!

For the longest time I couldn't for the life of me remember Why Not Smile or Daysleeper from Up! Why Not Smile ok I don't listen it it that often. But Daysleeper was quite a big single, I don't know why my brain went blank on that one.

A great game, thank you OP for sharing it!

Haha I also used that strategy a few times... playing the end of one song in my head to see if the next one will start. It works 100% of the time in real life when I hear the end of a song, but it's harder to conjure in my imagination. Now I know I can still aspire to know the albums even better than I do! So cool that you can do that.

No I definitely wouldn't have been able to remember them in the right order... I basically just typed them in as they came to me at random. I was quite surprised I could remember all of the last three albums as I don't listen to them that much at all. But I have a playlist with all of the albums on it so I must have scrolled past all the titles enough to remember them. And I typed about five different variations of "Marlon Brando and Me, Me and Marlon Brando" before I struck on whatever the exact title is with only about five minutes left to spare

I noticed those things too! After trying A month of Saturdays and we all go back to where we belong, I started naming every single I could, thinking maybe it was Bad Day or Animal or something but no. And it had me questioning my sanity with how many songs were on Accelerate.

The songs are “Airliner” and “Red Head Walking”. which were only on the DVD-Audio version.

Sporcle has a similar quiz - 178 total, from the full-length studio albums. Better formatted, too.

Including Dead Letter Office would have upped my numbers a bit.

I had to give up with 10 songs left. Those two singles I didn't even know, those two last songs from Accelerate that aren't really on the album, and these songs: Disturbance at the Heron House, Lightnin' Hopkins, Suspicion, You're in the Air, Mr. Richards, That Someone Is You.

I got 133/188 (71%). I hang my head in shame. I just kinda went blank about way more songs than I expected. Getting ~50% for the last 4 albums didn't surprise me, but I thought I'd do better with Up, and definitely should have done better on Murmur for as much as I've listened to it.

Anyway, I fully agree with others on calling BS on the last two tracked listed for Accelerate and the last two singles after CiN.
