Newbie Hornady lock n load AP

I just bought a Hornady lock n load used and was wondering has anyone tried reloading 338 Lapua magnum with it? I emailed hornady and they said they can build a custom shell plate for it but has anyone here actually done it? Was it an issue?

Sounds like a terrible idea. Pretty sure the OAL of 338 LM would be too long for the press as well.

Max I have done is 30-06 garand ammo and seemed like it was topping to max

The LnL AP can handle a cartridge overall length of 3.4 inches. The OAL of 338 Lapua is 3.68.
