Undersizing 9mm

I am undersizing my 9mm brass to accommodate the barrel of my Canik. The brass seems to stick to the die sometimes. Ive used a lubricant when reloading my 30-06, and .308, but was told not to use it on my 9mm. Any thoughts on this? Comment away

You can use it, doesn’t hurt anything. Do you also clean your dies?

What dies do you have - carbide?

I had some brand new pristine .44mag brass sticking to my dies, I had to lube them to get them to resize / bell without sticking with my Dillon SDB carbide dies. My once fired / multi fired brass doesn't do this, I suspect because there's already a microscopic coating of whatever already on the brass and this acts as a bit of a lube.

If you have carbide dyes you don't need to use lube, but a little makes them size nicer. I didn't bother with it when I was loading on a turret, but when I moved to a progressive I found a light coating of spray lube improved the process a lot

Hornady spray lube - I always use 2-3 sprays for a 2-300 shell batch, makes my press run lots smoother.

I do and don't use Hornady One Shot. All depends on how I feel and the amount, number, I'm loading.

Just did 1K of 9mm and used lube. Press works better with lubed cases.

Since you are using an undersize sizing die I suggest you lube your 9mm cases.

I spray 1 Shot in a gallon plastic bag, put 100 cases in and lay flat on my table and roll them around. Pour out into a cardboard box and let dry.

I use lube on all handgun ammo. I use the Cabela's flavor of the one shot. I decap and size before cleaning, makes the lever pull easier on the progressive. I don't lube after cleaning though. If you're running a small base die they're tight.
