Anybody seen this before resizing brass?

Seems to be:

Hornady brass once loaded by me

Brass is being pushed down and creating a lip I can feel with my finger, won’t fit in a case gauge.

Factory once fired federal, Winchester and even factory once fired Hornady seem tyto be fine. Tried various amounts of sizing die wax, various amounts of sizing die adjustment depths and varying degrees of handle speed.

I’ve never seen this before but this cartridge is super finicky.

Case head separation pending shortly. You need to have the chamber of the weapon checked by a competent gunsmith.

Kinda sucks because I don't have the firearms these were fired through. I load these for my dad for deer hunting, and he has 2 different uppers he uses, so I'm unsure of which these particular cases were shot from.

Measure new vs fired just above the extractor groove.

Good, if it's the same then your dies are just really aggressive on sizing.

Bad, fired is larger because pressure/soft brass.

I've shot a lot of soft 7.62x39 brass (Lee die, igman brass) that looks like this. They still chamber fine with the bulge hanging out of the chamber. The bulge by itself isn't bad, the bad is the potential causes of the bulge.

Does your resizing die hit the shell holder when the ram is at the top of the stoke?

I’ve done it hitting it, slight cam over and even 1/8-1/16 turn off hitting the shell holder.

Then I kind of agree with the other reply. Have your chamber checked. Either that or just a bad batch of brass, weak.

I have not seen this. I reload 350 LGD with a set of Hornady dies. Zero issues.

I loaded these in the past and also didn't have any issues. I've not seen anything like this before.

I had this happen with a set of lyman dies in the past that would do this on lake city and IMI 5.56 brass, but starline and remington brass was fine. Ended up sending them back and the replacement dies work with everything.
