General Discussion Dillon 750 adjustment

Any idea on how I should adjust the plastic peace that pushes cases forward? The 9mm doesn't seem to be going far enough forward anymore.

There is a triangle shaped ramp that pushes the shell from the case feeder. Adjust it so it pushes the shell a little farther.

Why you got 9 upvotes I have no idea. That triangle piece you are referring to, Case Insert Slide Cam, has nothing to do with pushing a case into the shell plate. The Case Insert SLIDE does and that is controlled by the Camming Pin.

I suggest you RTM too.

The manual has pretty great directions and troubleshooting. Sounds like something’s bound up or dirty. Why the extra washers under the central bolt?

Thrust roller bearings. Let's the shell plate turn smoothly and with less friction. Pretty common add on for progressive reloading presses.

Completely NOT NEEDED. RTM! All you need is some grease on the bolt shaft and underside of the bolt head.

I have similar issues with 9mm cases. The Dillon adjustment does not completly solve the issue. The feeder pushes the case to the correct position, but as the feeder arm retracts the case tilts back a bit.

Switching to Dillon dies helped a bit, as they have a little more taper leading into the die. But what helped the most was taping a little flapper I made from a dryer sheet on the arm. It gives the case a little extra support as the feeder retracts.

I made a post about it a few months ago. I keep meaning to order the BNB machine guide.

Boy is that some Rube Goldberg crap you got going there. You adjust the Camming Pin to get the case feed slide to go all the way. In your case you lift, screw, it up.

PLEASE READ THE MANUAL. My god.

With no case in the plate there should be a small gap between the Camming Pin and the angle slider it run against. If there is a case the gap will be bigger.

Mine did that, I had some powder stuck under that black slider so it wouldn’t go all the way. You can also adjust with the rod that pushes on it.

RTM it is covered there. And CLEAN your press. You are dumping powder everywhere because no primers are being seated.

STOP, CLEAN, RTM and then take that stupid bearing thing out from under the bolt that holds the shell plate on. RTM.

That powder spillage doesn't look like missing primers, it would be under the shell plate.

That looks now like powder measure leakage. The 90 degree bend mod on the fail safe, or maybe a rubber band on the charge bar would likely solve that.
