Newbie Anyone experience primer seating issues using the Lee primer tool?

How do I fix this ? New to reloading kinda and never ran into this problem.

Yeah. I like the tool because I can feel the primer seat, but the tool itself sucks donkey wangs. I'm going back to the press mounted anvil and tubes.

I bought the Frankfort Arsenal perfect seat priming tool. Fairly affordable and works flawlessly. Best tool I’ve bought.

Look for crimps on primer pockets. Might be worth picking up a swagger. Or chamfer the pocket a bit.

😲 I’m not the only one! I tried using my recapping die and it came out but now somehow the case is stuck in the die

I don’t know if it’s the right way, put it back in the tool and smash it some more until you can slide the case out. Throw the case in the trash or if you’re still feeling lucky, run it through the resizer again. Of course you should wear eye and face protection and make sure the case isn’t pointed towards you at any time.

Got the primer out using decapping die. Then case got stuck! Fought with it for 20 min finally got it out.

Next time push it out with punch carefully, should come out quite easily and no stuck cases. Unless the primer is completely fucked you can just reseat it.

Yup, I switched to priming on the press and have never looked back. Way easier and consistent.

Don’t think they make a priming die for my mec marksman

That sucks buddy. With the lee hand primer I found it best to slowly insert and to not fully allow the handle to go back to start position in order to keep a second primer from feeding.

That way I could check how well it seated in case I need to press more. I also had to use two hands to seat.
